Look, I don't know if any of the reviews for this place are paid, but the experience I had was far from worth it. I ordered two poached eggs on toast, halloumi and bacon, and a coffee. It might be the time of day or a mid-week thing, but the halloumi was $7 extra for two tiny pieces. The eggs weren't runny and were tiny (as if the egg white had been washed off somehow). The coffee was burnt, and the toast was one piece of unbuttered sourdough. Not even close to being worth it. There are so many good breakfast spots in Brisbane, and this one isn't worth its four-star rating based on my experience today. Reply to owner: Firstly, I am a Mr. I don't have a child, I don't drink Mochas, there was no extra shot in my latte. Your prices are average, but extra items aren't priced to be worth it. If your paying $7 which is $2 more then most cafes for halloumi and you get 2 small pieces, then it's defiantly not worth it. I'm glad you responded the way you have, so publicly. It further shows a 1 star review is justified. 2nd reply to owner: No... I am not attacking you through fake accounts. My review is genuine and I can only speak of my experience which was meh. I honestly have no idea what half of your reply is even about, you seem to think I am a different person, I am a women with kids who drink mochas...? Owner has edited their reply, so ive attached screen shots for reference.

Vibrant little cafe in a busy area! Parking is quite tricky on weekends and early mornings but plenty of surrounding streets if you don’t mind walking. Staff are friendly and welcoming! This is probably our third/fourth time visiting and staff have always been really quick and efficient. Have only ever ordered coffee so our review is based on that! Our recent visit, coffees were both really sour. Ordered both a cappuccino (pictured) and vanilla iced latte. Cafe was quite busy, so I understand the pressure to get the coffees out quickly, but unfortunately the quality was compromised. I do really enjoy the space though, the large open window really makes the cafe feel open and inviting. Might pop back in again if I’m the area, but probably wouldn’t travel out of our way. Would love to try some of their food and update our review 👍🏻

I went to the gym for 2 hrs before coming, expecting a big brunch and they did not disappoint. It is one of the first times ever I've unable to finish my food. 3 of us ordered the pancakes and none of us could finish. They are so delicious, so generous, so gluttonous and so more-ish that I kept sneaking more bites into my mouth even when I could barely move, or talk or breathe from being so full. Timtams + nutella + strawberries + icecream is a dangerous combo. Don't come if you're on a silly diet. Come if you want an $18 meal that will fill you up til brunch the next day. Couldn't recommend this place higher. Also expect a 30min wait, this place is crazy popular but the staff are lovely and the wait is worth it. So worth it.

Looking for a new place to eat for my Birthday Breakfast, my partner and I stumbled across the webpage for Picnic Cafe and decided to give it a whirl.

Tucked away in a neat little part of Camp Hill, Picnic Cafe must be a very well kept secret, I am not sure how I hadn't heard of this place before, it was incredible.

The interior is welcoming and well laid out, you will see some reviews say it is too noisy, but that adds to the atmosphere, it is clearly a place people go to have fun and enjoy the experience, if you want quiet go to a library.

The staff were attentive and friendly, nothing was too much trouble.

Coffee was great, they obviously know what they are doing.

The food however is what makes this place, the menu sounds like it was designed by 12 year old me, there is some unique combinations that all sound amazing. I will have to go back just to work my way through the menu. I had the Smores Waffles this time and they were divine. Each bite was a taste of childhood, it is like when you were younger and you swore to yourself you would eat candy for breakfast when you were older cause you can, but then you get older and realise you have to be responsible. This is your opportunity to indulge and not be responsible. The combination of ingredients was mouth watering.

I strongly recommend Picnic Cafe for any one who wants to start their day with a little bit of fun.

Without even knowing it they gave me a great start...

This is my favourite local cafe love the food, & service. For many years I have frequently eaten here with family & friends who either live here or visiting from outer states as I’m a big believer in supporting local businesses. Today I am very very disappointed as I was unable to make a booking for two this coming Tuesday as I was advised they can only take bookings for four. As like all of my friends & family they don’t live locally & travel anywhere from Redcliffe to Ashgrove to meet up here. I was told I could try as a walk in on Tuesday but there was no guarantee of a table being available. As my friend will be travelling from outside the local area we will be meeting at West End instead as the small cafe I frequent there are far more accommodating. I know we are all suffering through COVID-19 but I’ve consistently supported local businesses in Martha Street because I care. To have to travel to West End rather than have my friend experience & enjoy my local area I’m truly disappointed in this business & will be suggesting to friends & family we meet elsewhere as there are many lovely places nearby...
