Sandwich Chefs — Restaurant in Brisbane City

Used to get a lovely roast meal here a year or more ago. Very generous serving. Then the price went up by several dollars, but it was still a good serving. I always have my coffee here when I am around Forest Lake, and enjoy it. I remember it used to be packed by 11.30, as people were queuing up for the best value roast meal around. I have noticed now hardly anyone is getting a roast meal. Today I was the only one, and was shocked by how little I got, not even a half filled container. A tiny potato and pumpkin, a few peas and carrots with my few slices of roast meat with gravy at over $18, once I had tapped my card. That is very expensive, and no longer the good value it once was. I will check out the local services clubs for a better deal. It’s a shame to have this disappointing experience with my lunch, as the girls who serve me are so friendly, chatty and nice when I visit for my coffee. I will be back for my coffee, but I won’t buy another roast meal until I see the portions improve to a reasonable helping. Sandwich Chefs Forest Lake, do better, that’s how you get your customers coming back, queuing for meals, like the old days. These days, with increased living costs, a nice lunch out needs to be affordable...

I want to preface this by saying in the past we've usually had great food and service. I've left glowing reviews for them elsewhere but today, I really feel let down particularly due to the spend. We ordered delivery through Uber. Paid extra so that our drinks would arrive cold. The juice we received was room temperature. We ordered two and only received one. When we asked for a refund they gave us $2 but we spent over $30. Feels like highway robbery. Plus, when we have ordered roast rolls in the past it usually comes with a piece of crackling. We've asked before and have been told that their standard service is to add a nice piece of crackling. We still ask though and usually leave a nice note with the order. Nothing today. I love Sandwich Chef. Ive been coming here for 3 yrs. Rany n Peter are so welcoming n give amazing service. They really know how to treat their customers. Theres so much joy contentment n satisfaction with every customer. Family atmosphere! Everybody walks away with their tummy full of beautiful food n a smile on their face. I love how clean n fresh the food is everyday. Very well presented. A1 customer service....
