Som Ras Indian Restaurant — Restaurant in Brisbane City

I have been to this place more than twice and always found empty. We were the only dine in customer on Friday around 7pm.

The food was taking so much time to come to the table. The Manchurian was asked to cook mild very mild still it was spicy. Anyway it’s not the case. We asked to see if the Dosa and Idli can be made at this hour. The waitress wasn’t sure she asked that will find out from the chef and she took 10mins to come back to us and said they can make it.

Then they made Cheese Dosa and Idli Sambhar. OMG they were so awful. Yuck! Unable to eat. Idli was freaking dry cracks all over.. not edible at all. Cheese Dosa was like Quesadilla. Their menu shows some photos and it wasn’t even any close to that.

Sambhar was crap, chutney was crap and everything that was cooked Southern Indian food was crap!

Waste of time, food and money! We told that to the cashier/ waitress but she didn’t say much and we acknowledged that we would never ever come back again to this restaurant !

Seriously, learn to make a proper food if that’s on your menu! If you can’t cook it then honestly tell the customer you can’t! Don’t just ruin someone’s night.

If in Brisbsne, take the trip to Chermside to ha³ve a great curry experience. The range of curries was huge and the fresh herbs and spices used was obvious, resulting in some spectacular flavours. The host was gracious and helped us sort through the menu. The Bombay potatoes were a standout, but we also had the GOA Fish curry, the mango chicken curry, garlic naan and the biriyani rice which made for a wonderful night. Together with the inviting ambience and wine at a very reasonable price per glass, it sealed Kings Curry Hut onto our list of special places to revisit. After years of waiting for Perfect Indian Restaurant in north side in/around chermside and finally its here. Strongly recommending this restaurant to anyone whose looking for delicious indian street food, try their Lunch. their curries and Tandoori chicken was amazing, i been trying their food since they open just to see if they r same like the other Indian cuisines or they different but this was the third time and ihave no words for these people except big WOW…😋👌 quality of their food is Fresh and way better than the other indian restaurants we have tried in north side half of them using old, dead looking chicken in their curries.
