My husband was trying to do something nice for our 19th Wedding Anniversary even though $$$ is tight so he suggested we visit Stellarossa Banyo... He ordered Bacon and Eggs (scrambled) and I ordered the Corn Fritters... He enjoyed his and mine was a disappointment, to the point I left half of a corn fritter on my plate and hopefully they took note when clearing our plates away after we left... The poached egg was over cooked... The corn fritters just fell apart and had a weird consistency to them... It repeated on me all afternoon... Maybe next time we want a treat we'll just come for coffee... Here's the reply I received...

Hello Linda. We are very sorry to hear that you didn't enjoy our fritters or your anniversary breakfast. We would like to make up for that and give you something to make your anniversary date abit better. please pop in at anytime and let the staff know there is an envelope for you under the till. Thank you again.
Yesterday morning I popped into Stellarossa, spoke to the staff member on the cash register and she didn't know anything about it... Then a lady on the coffee machine said she'd fix it... The lady crouched done under the cash register and stood back up with a gift voucher, she proceeded to fill it out and just handed it to me and I said thanks... This interaction caused more bad vibes... Obviously she hadn't done as her reply stated, was she hoping I wouldn't show... The gift voucher was for $15:00 which doesn't even cover the cost of the breakfast I had, does she expect me to spend more of my own money in her business??? What was really strange was that she didn't say one word to me, no hello or good morning, didn't introduced herself and there wasn't even a verbal apology... It was like she...
Read moreAvoid this place at all cost! I've been here twice since moving to Banyo, each time the service has been cold and indifferent and the food over-priced and very, very average. Today, I thought we'd grab a take away coffee. After ordering, we stepped inside where it was nice and cool under the air-con, given outside was blistering hot and humid. A few other people ordering take away coffee had the same idea. To my absolute dismay, the manager or head barista then stormed over and blasted the poor young girl serving, yelling at her that she needed to tell customers that are ordering take away coffees to stay away from inside. The way this guy spoke to his fellow colleague was disgusting and offensive. Furthermore, it was not busy inside so I cannot fathom why we weren't welcome to come in to the cool and away from the heat (granted if it were a busy Saturday morning and inside was pumping with trade, I would have opted to remain outside and away from the bustle, out of respect for the staff and diners) Alas, it was not busy. After the coffees were made the same guy then slammed down the cups in front of me perhaps as some demonstration perhaps of his frustration. I found this man to be beyond rude toward customers and absolutely abhorrent toward the other staff member. I will never return to this cafe; there so many other cafes and coffee shops in the area and on the same street that I'd much prefer to give my business to those who actually value their customers. As a local business operator, I will also reiterate my experience to my own customers and everyone I know in the area, and will advise them to...
Read moreOver two visits, ordered the same order for consistancy.
A large(or the largest latte they have,) And a steak sandwich by recommendation from the staff.
The wheelchair access to Stellarossa from the carpark is a no brainier, and none from walking in off the street.
Water was provided both times, and the glasses were polished clean!
On a saturday visit, the coffee was smooth , The skills of the barista on saturday were excellent and i had to order a second coffee on this visit as the coffee was hitting the spot,
The steak sandwich, was a excellent recomendation, and the chips that came with the ordet were perfect, a good level between crunch and salt!!!
On the second visit, on a Wednesday afternoon, I found the coffee was slightly burnt but the same beans were in use, still an ok coffee but the first visit was vastly more superior.
The chips were perfect again, a winner for sure at stellarossa,
but the steak sandwich had changed, there was a change of recipe between visits (2 weeks between visits) from white/whole grain to sourdough, less beetroot, radish and steak, being the most noticable, Again a good amount of food for the purchase but i was definitely caught off guard with the change.
The staff on both visits are professional and the tables, dining and walk spaces were...
