Sunsun Delicious Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Brisbane City

I typically strive to write [postive reviews, focusing on the positive aspects of my dining experiences, but this time around, I find it nearly impossible to give a positive review. My recent order from Sun Sun Delicious in Sunnybank, placed via DoorDash, has left me feeling sick, the food was off.

It started promisingly enough as I was starving but wanted delivery. I ordered using door dash the beef brisket with rice and the salt and pepper chicken. With my stomach growling in anticipation, I eagerly awaited the arrival of my meal. But what arrived was far from the scrumptious dinner I had envisaged.

Upon opening the container of beef brisket and salt and peper chicken in a take away wrapper, an off-putting odor immediately permeated the air around me. Ignoring the initial wave of nausea that struck me, I decided to give it a chance. Regrettably, the first bite only confirmed my worst fears: both the beef brisket and the salt and pepper chicken were, undeniably, off.

To be explicit, these dishes were not just lacking in flavor or overcooked – they were spoiled. I have an agonising bout of food poisoning.

I am a firm believer that everyone can have an off day, and I do take this into consideration when judging restaurants. But serving spoiled food is an entirely different league of errors. It is a fundamental breach of trust between a restaurant and its customers, a blatant disregard for the basic tenets of food safety.

I am penning this review, not out of spite, but out of concern for others who may consider dining at Sun Sun Delicious. It is my sincere hope that no one else has to experience what I did. For the restaurant, I implore you to take this feedback seriously. Your customers trust you to provide safe and delicious meals.

I have never been so disappointed, if you read my other google food reviews, I am as optimistic as anyone reviewing, and I do hope this is a one-off incident at Sun Sun Delicious. Delicious, but deadly if you have allergies. This is probably the 4th or 5th time we've ordered from Sunsun. The food is tasty, however, every time we've stated no mushrooms and only one of those times they've made the order correctly. After expressing repeatedly "no mushrooms due to severe allergy and anaphylaxis", I found a mushroom staring at me in the side of the container of chicken stir fry noodles, I had that dish remade, asked again "there are no mushrooms in the any of it", to which I was once again told there was not, I got home, and there was slivers of mushroom all through the mongolian beef. Firstly I want to say how hot the food came which was a great suprise as usually food arrives cold when delivered. The portion sizes were definitely not bad at all. And delivery time was so quick.

Unfortunately I am going to be what seems to be the first bit of negative feedback. Maybe the chinese food I am used to is not authentic tasting but the dinner left me so confused. I ordered the honey chicken which did had only the very mildest taste of honey & the container was only 3 quarters filled. I also ordered the sweet & sour pork which not only looked nothing like that dish but tasted nothing like it either. Then lastly the fried rice tasted nothing...
