Meat Bank — Local services in Brisbane City

I loved this place to buy fresh meat for me and even told my friends that this is the place to buy any type of meat they need. But very disappointed today. I visited to buy some meat for bbq 10 min before they close, they were putting the meat back in a cold room as they close tmrw as holiday. I totally understand that so I asked them can I buy some pork belly if it's not sealed yet, and I bought about 2 kg. A young girl staff was very nice and kind. And then I asked if there is any beef for bbq available now except wagyu which was too thin for that. The staff asked older lady staff for it and her face looked bery annoyed, looked at me and my family with that face, said "what you looking for exactly? We can't cut it right now!!" In very rude attitude. I said any steak beef or thicker one. Then other staff took out beef for steak which she said they don't have cube roll but there was right behind her. Then what she was saying made me feel that I'm very picky. I'm sure all other staff felt it in same way. They all looked a bit surprised how she acted and all walked on eggshells. My bf got mad with her attitude but tried to conversate telling her we are just asking for availability, but then she left and headed to the backside. I want no drama with other kind staff so we just left. I understand they are in a rush to shut everything down but still they were open for sale and with any reason, she shouldn't be acted like that. I like to share my shopping experience at this place today. I purchased over a kg of pork bones from the shop after work on my way home. The male sales assistant is very helpful to provide another vege bag (not the reusable white bag which usually cost extra) when I asked for one as the pork bones are heavy and very sharp which can easily cut through. However the woman owner of the shop suddenly jump in and interrupted the sales assistant for the ridiculous reason that it's under $10 purchase she can't give you one for free. I was on my way home didn't carry any shopping bag with me, the extra vege bag I asked for is free with purchase everywhere. I would not ask for the extra bag if what I bought wasn't heavy nor sharp. I usually buy over $40 of meat once or twice a fortnight from this shop. It's just a mean behaviour from the woman owner and definitely not a good gesture of goodwill. I will look for...

I highly recommend this butcher. You can assume it as the best butcher in Brisbane ever. You can tell how good quality their meats are. Olivia is so nice and helpful to choose which meat I should use when cooking specific dishes. I went there so often but couldn’t have a chance to write a review. However, I had a BBQ party with their Wagyu and Beef. My friends loved them so much and kept asking me where the meats were bought, which made me decide to write a review! You can see the meat’s marbling from my photos. Soooooo good quality, so fresh, reasonable price. So worhty!!! U will never regret...
