Funhouse Sunnybank — Attraction in Brisbane City

A few years back I was a regular, I decided to visit for nostalgia's sake but since they have remodeled the place is barren. There is a serious lack of machines and too much empty space. I remember the place being packed with people playing the sit-down machines but it's all been replaced with doodle jump, flappy bird, and crossy road, all for $2 a play. It's sad to watch a sweet thing die, and I'm glad that I had the time to play when this arcade was actually an arcade, and good times...

My favourite arcade in Brisbane. Great selection of games to play and usually has good offers on Groupon and in-store to get some extra credits for your money.

This is one of the few arcades where game prices are still round numbers making it easier to calculate how many game you can play and is less likely to leave you with an unusual amount to credits left on your card.

In fairness, I go to these arcades very infrequently with my kids, so maybe theyve changed a lot since my last visit/covid...

When I do go to an arcade, I go knowing that it is an expensive bit of fun, but this place is a joke. Significantly reduced times on timed games & significantly less tickets dispensed per game when compared with counterpart stores.
