Modern little cafe with plenty of seating available- is situated on the Woolies side of the centre. Have been here probably 4 or 5 times and each visit has left me with differing experiences.
Overall, I’d say the coffee is good here, particularly having it seated and not takeaway. Recalling my visit today, I ordered a large cappuccino to have seated and was mis-charged for a ‘bowl’ size mug. It wasn’t too much of a bother though, as the coffee did taste quite nice. Also ordered a caramel frappe ($7.90), which despite being quite expensive was delicious.
As we haven’t tried any of the menu or cabinet items, we can’t comment on the food, however, from our visits we’d say the cafe is overall very average. It’s probably one of the better ones in the centre for coffee, but the ambience, service and overall vibe is poor. Would love to have a friendlier experience when ordering, however, am sure we’ll be back again...
Read moreI have being a patron with this cafe for years and it's being no problems and outstanding service. Now with the new owners it's gone down hill. I ordered pancakes (not kids) and a coffee. The coffee was quick to come out which is fine but the pancakes took over 15 mintues. Coffee cold by the time it got there. Now the pancakes...if you could call them that were 3 tiny as piclets with cream, icecream and some chocolate chips (I asked for the bananas off) these tiny, dry tasteless "pancakes" were $16. I could not believe it. I was in shock. I had the pancakes from the previous owner and they were not this. They were actully pancakes and not these piclet store bought trash. Very very disappointment in the food and service. Not sure I'll be coming back as a regular. DO NOT GET...
Read moreI have been a customer of this cafe for years, their coffee is perhaps the best out of all Carindale cafes. I thought the new management were not going to change basic ingredients in sandwiches. Everytime I order the basic salad sandwich it's missing something. In the past it always had red onion, now it does not, at times it's missing the beetroot. I paid extra for avocado and to my dismay they are no longer using fresh avocado, but rather some oily liquidy avocado that tastes like the ones the supermarket sells in tubes. It's very disappointing to see good food slowly changing to a cheaper version. I am...
