During my recent visit to Coffee Club Southgate, I encountered a nuanced experience that warrants attention to its various facets. The establishment showcased commendable customer service, indicative of a commitment to the patrons' overall satisfaction. The culinary offerings, in particular, stood out with their quality and palatability, setting a high standard for the dining experience.
Regrettably, the same level of excellence did not seamlessly translate to the coffee service. The coffee, while not unpleasant, displayed a noticeable gap in refinement. It appears that a recalibration in the form of a new barista might be the transformative element needed to bring the coffee service up to par with the rest of the dining experience.
I believe that with the introduction of a skilled and discerning barista, Coffee Club Southgate has the potential to create a harmonious synergy across all facets of their offerings. This constructive feedback is intended to contribute to the continuous improvement of an establishment that otherwise holds promise for providing an exceptional and consistent...
Read moreWe attended the Coffee Club this morning for a family gathering. The staff member that greeted us was polite and pleasant and organised our tables to accommodate a large group. He took our order (which he failed to write down) and subsequently 3 out of 10 of our coffee orders were incorrect. The food was generally of good taste and quality, however my meal (Turkish Bread with Avocado and Fetta) came out as plain toast with avocado on the side, and fetta in a bowl and I then had to assemble it myself. The real trouble however, commenced when it was time to pay for our meals. We were advised by the waitress that we were able to split the bill, however when we went to do so, the older woman at the till was so rude and unaccommodating that it took us over 15 minutes just to finalise our bill. I have never experienced such disgusting customer service, anywhere. Our group of 10 easily spent well over $200 and next time we will take our money elsewhere. Don't waste your...
Read moreOur other home lunch every Sunday. Shane (owner) works the floor, same as his staff. Fully licensed. Great parking, right beside a new IGA, which I find most convenient.
Service is fast, food is high quality. They've started to switch the menu around so you don't get bored or tired of the same dish. Staff are professional, and friendly, and a bit cheeky now they know us.
Lots of regulars, daily newspapers, great dessert selection. Take a very empty stomach, as the serves are very generous. Particularly the full brekkie.
If you want, or don't want, something in your meal (beetroot and anchovies come to mind w my husband), it's never a bother to change the ingredients.
Fabulous fettuccine carbonara, steak sandwich, lamb's fry (yum) and so much more.
Great parking. You can dine inside or out on the protected verandah. Dogs very welcome, they get their...
