The food that we got last night was very scrumptious. We had the combination Pho, spring rolls, fried wontons and the beef stew. The combination Pho was absolutely divine and the spring rolls and fried wontons were to die for. The kids loved them. The beef stew was lovely on a cold rainy night.
The service was absolutely incredible and the two young girls did a fantastic job holding down the fort. The restaurant was a full house and these girls were still able to provide a friendly and welcoming atmosphere for myself and my family.
There was one customer that yelled to the girls out of nowhere demanding, “we waited half an hour, when is the food?” Despite being reminded that their food is coming out shortly. The young lady ensured him that the food was coming and will further remind kitchen to have his food out. He kept berating her saying that she is being disrespectful even though she was calmly explaining to him that they’re doing the best they can on their end to ensure nothing happens. It was witnessed by all the customers that she kept apologising for the wait and ensured if they required anything else.
I hope the young girl is okay as she did an incredible job to ensure we were okay and keeping the atmosphere safe and lively. I hope to see these young girls again as they kept my kids...
Read moreWe decided to try this highly-rated Vietnamese restaurant today with high expectations, but unfortunately, the experience left much to be desired.
The owner was friendly initially, which was nice. We ordered two dishes, but by the time we almost finished the first one, the second hadn’t arrived—we’d been waiting for more than half an hour. My wife politely went to counter and asked how much longer it would take, and her response was dismissive: “I already told them to hurry.” We get it, restaurants can get busy, so we even said, “It’s OK.”
But when I mentioned we've waited half an hour, she became extremely rude. She stood behind the counter, shouted at me across the room, and glared. I asked her to show some respect, but she kept arguing loudly until my wife stepped in to mediate. Even other customers grew quiet, and the whole place fell completely silent. She did say “sorry” afterward, and we suggested there might be some misunderstanding.
Yet, for the rest of our visit, even though my wife politely said “thank you” every time she brought something or spoke, she never responded nor show her regret as she claimed.
Between the poor attitude, average food, and slow service, I can’t fathom why this place has such high ratings. We won’t be returning for...
Read moreMy wife and I visited here for the first time last night after reading the reviews. We just wanted something small, fresh and healthy for dinner. Inside the restaurant it's a bit hot, something is wrong with the AC, but lucky for us it had just rained and the outside temp was a lot cooler so we dined outside which was pleasant. I ordered the combination vermicelli salad, and my wife had the combination DIY rice paper rolls. $21 and $18 respectively. The rolls came out first and the platter of food was generous. Lots of rice paper, way more than enough, carrot, sprouts, noodles, large volume of fresh crunchy iceberg lettuce, sauce and a large amount of mint and meat. Wife could not finish her meal. My salad came out and it also was a generous portion. The meats were all well seasoned and very flavorful. The sauces were also quite distinct in their differences and both were very tasty. Each mouthful was a delicious and fresh experience. The meals did not take long to come out. The staff friendly and helpful. No negative experience. Although if they are expecting more people I would look at getting the AC going or fixed as the heat inside was "soggy". I'll certainly come back for our Viet fix when the...
