Vietnam Eat Alley — Restaurant in Brisbane City

I recently visited Vietnamese Eat Alley, and while the food was tasty, I won’t be returning. Unfortunately, the experience was marred by the attitude of the young girl at the counter, which left much to be desired.

From the moment I walked in, there was no friendly greeting or effort to make me feel welcome. When I asked her if she was having a busy night, she responded that she was meant to close early—hardly a comment that made me feel valued as a customer.

I was the only person dining in, yet no water or napkins were provided. When I inquired, I was curtly told it was self-serve. This level of service, or lack thereof, was disappointing and soured an otherwise enjoyable meal.

It’s a shame because the food was genuinely great, but customer service matters just as much. I hope management addresses this, as it’s the type of experience that drives...

Don't be dissuaded by the modest appearance of this restaurant. It's the food and the service that matters and the three woman steering the ship on the night of my visit went a long way to restoring my faith in humanity. Dripping wet, filthy and covered in paint from work, the ladies were closing a little early - Briz distracted by the Lions and all. The senior lady did not hesitate to re-open, make me comfortable and cook me what has to be one of the most timely and flavorsome rice dishes I have had. Hot, delicious tea arrived beforehand. Long time customer here, and tonight was one order stuff up too many since the ownership changed. As a result my daughter did not have enough dinner to eat. The pork yellow curry was also really disappointing (considering it’s $18) - very small portion with just bits of pork floating in tepid sauce. Nothing like the yellow curry used to be which was wonderfully flavoursome and included vegetables. We have orders stuffed up (incorrect items, incorrect number of items) more often than not with the new owners. Male was not very helpful on the phone, not very apologetic and I have had to initiate my own refund via Uber Eats despite him taking my name and promising a call back. Unfortunately, we will be going elsewhere...
