Such a disappointing experience. We spent around $150 for six of us. I ordered the breakfast plate and asked for fried eggs, in my past experiences fried means "hard" or "fully cooked so the yolks aren't runny". I'll take fault for that not being a widely recognised understanding. So I took it back and told them, I couldn't eat it because I was pregnant and the yolk was all over the food. I tried to be polite and understanding and every single one of the girls working stared at me like I was disturbing them and being an inconvenience. I thanked two girls one of which who flatly said "It's fine I'll throw it out." And took it off me. The I assume manager came and brought the new food to me I assume thinking we'd collectively berate the staff for not getting it right the first time which was never on my mind as I've worked this type of job before and understand the stress of things happening and unhappy customers. I thanked her and was okay with the wait as again I'm the one who returned the food, a wait was only fair. As I was eating I noticed the plate was the same from before and had the previous yolk on it and i had to clear the plate so my food wouldn't touch it. I then cut into my eggs and surprise surprise theyre STILL raw. It sounds dramatic but I was almost in tears as I'm heavily pregnant and didn't want to inconvenience people once but twice so I ate what I could and left the rest. Another incident was the table not being cleared from the previous people. Only when asked to remove dishes did the waitress do so as she brought our drinks out and turned to leave without taking very clearly old and used dishes away. Photos of the meal as proof. I don't know if I'll be back but if I am I hope service is better.

I had the worst experience at this café on my birthday. First, the order mistake and the staff’s attitude. I asked the staff what the “Smoothie of the Day” was, and they told me it was a green smoothie, so I ordered it. However, another staff member brought me a milkshake instead. When I told them that I had ordered a green smoothie, they just said, “I can make it, if you want to.” I understand that order mistakes can happen, but there was no apology, and the way they spoke was unpleasant. Second, the long wait time. It took 40 minutes for our food to be served after ordering, despite the café being almost empty. I have no idea why it took so long. On top of that, the food wasn’t even high quality—it was something that even a beginner could make. Finally, a serious issue occurred. I ordered the Vegetarian Breakfast Plate, and when I had eaten about half of the beans, I felt something strange in my mouth. There was a sharp wooden fragment mixed in with the beans, and I almost swallowed it. This is something that should never happen. I was lucky that I didn’t swallow it, but if a small child or an elderly person had, it could have been a serious health risk. My husband took me to this café with a nice view to celebrate my birthday, but it turned into a very disappointing experience. The location is good, but the service and management are terrible. I will never go back. It was a complete waste of time and money.

Had breakfast as part of a tour package of the stadium. The cafe has a prime view overlooking the city and river within the Optus stadium precinct. The menu selection is a bit limited but most people should find something to their liking. Serving sizes are probably on the smaller side. My son is a big eater and we both had the big breakfast option which consisted of the usual options of 2 slices of bread, a couple of eggs your way, two hash browns, one mushroom, one sausage, some bacon and beans. The food was well cooked and tasty. My son also had a scone and cream with another coffee to satiate his hunger. I am a smaller eater and it was enough for me. You order at the counter which can be a slow process if slightly busy. There were nice views from our window seats, so book ahead if you want better seats. The fitout is modern cafe and best described as supermarket generic rather than fancy, but it was nice. Gets busy on weekends I believe.

GOD WILL PUNISH YOU THE RUDE LADY AT THE FRONT COUNTER. You gave me tears God will treat u same one day

I don't have a choice to give zero star that's why I have to put one .... I went there Monday the 14 march around 1pm . I was very excited to see the city view from the top .. My husband was also with me . I was in a very happy mood by the time I entered and I didn't see the message please wait to be seated. Usually when we go to any Cafe we can go in and choose the seat so I didn't know this . I went straight in to see the view I was wearing proper mask and fully vaccinated .I didn't take any seat I was just standing and looking at the view suddenly I was called back at the counter where my husband was there. There is this lady in white skirt and black top with long golden straight hair .Her body language her eyes made me feel so disrespectful rude and she said you can't go in like this. U need to stand here and wait. OK I didn't utter a word I was quiet. And then we showed our vaccination proofs with Id .okay then we were given a table of her choice not our choice . OK we ordered and finished the food .I got up from my seat mask in my hand I was about to wear it just wanted one photo of mine in Cafe. There you go that rude and disrespectful lady again could u please wear your mask then I said can I have one photo and then wear it .. she just stand on my head while my husband tried to click me .. I felt so rude disrespectful unwelcoming by that lady as if I paid for everything and I am not allowed to do anything. Nothing people go there for view and you are not even allowed to enjoy that .... you need to give a chance to a person to actually respond to things I know that we have to wear mask . But we need to wait some time.. and see I'f I don't wear u can definitely ask me to wear and i know my responsibility. After all this I left the Cafe in a bad mood while on my way out she shouts and she uses this sarcasm in her voice bye bye guys have a nice day . Do you think we are fools no we are not . God is watching everything you made me cry that day I left with tears and whatever you did to me God will do to you one day .. I know that nobody will read this and come back to me for apologise . But I leave it to God and I will never ever recommend this place to anyone .... I know you don't even bother to these reviews . But yes you lost one customer and lots of my friends...

VERY UNWELCOMING STAFF TO PERSON WITH DISABILITY.

I am disability support worker and writing this review on behalf of the participant I support who has a disability. On Monday afternoon, we visited the City View Cafe for lunch. The person I support has a very limited diet and will only eat nuggets and chips when out in the community. This item was listed on the kids menu and was for kids 12 years and under.

As my participant has difficulties communicating with strangers, I went up to order on his behalf. When I asked to order the chicken nuggets and chips I was met with the answer "that is for 12 years and under". I said I understood this but the person I am with has a disability and will not eat anything else on the menu but the nuggets and chips. The lady at the counter pulled a face in disgust that I was asking for such item. I then reiterated that the person I am with has a disability and will not eat anything else. She finally gave in and said for this occasion he can have it.

The gentleman with the lovely piercing blue eyes, short hair and stubble kindly delivered the meals of the table next to us - asking everyone who ordered what and placing it gently on the table. When it was time for us to receive our food, he said "nuggets and chips" and chucked the plate in the middle of the table.

I have read through previous reviews and seen that this is not a first for the staff. I am extremely disappointed that they treated a person with a disability like a second class citizen to the rest. I thought the days of such treatment were behind us but obviously not. Over the many years of supporting my participant, this is the first time we have faced something like this in cafe. I highly recommend NOT to visit this cafe. I for sure will NOT...
