Read moreThis is the most rude place I ever been all around Australia !!! It is very hard to describe the rudeness of this place! I wanna start from the beginning, we went a couple of night earlier with my two very small dogs whom I always hold them . We sat and drink something the waitress saw us and smiled few times. In saying that are signs everywhere of ‘NOT SMOKING’ but every one smokes cigarettes……. And they are allowed to do so! We came back another night I was waiting for my husband whilst grabbing something drink. A very rude girl approached me saying not pet are allowed on the premises. I said that I went there before and the guy didn’t say a word! She said this is impossible as I m the unique one working on the floor.??? She said to leave immediately or tight the dogs outside. I said I wait for my husband and I go she was so rude “You have 5 minutes “ Ok I said. Right away the even more rude manager came and kick me out ! Meanwhile my husband came and said I drink and I go in 5 The manager said to drink the beer outside we moved and he came by us saying u cannot drink here and then it escalated he swore at me just because I said relax man I didn’t see the not dogs allowed signs here but u don t need to speak with me like that life is once calm down! He liked to show his power of being a bully and started swearing at me then he approached my husband taking the beer out of his hand throwing the beer onto the floor……… I never ever been in a place and being treated like this and I have been around Australia a lot. Yes we made a mistake to go in but there is not need to bully or swear at someone in that way …… I was rattled pls save your money and go somewhere else when you...
Read moreI visited the Railway to enjoy a nice meal with mates to finish off our weekend in Byron.
I ordered the “scotch fillet” well.. I’m not sure what is classed as a scotch fillet at the Railway but what I was served resembled more like a very cheap and nasty cut of a rump steak, at best!
I didn’t realise upon ordering, that I would need cast iron teeth to chew through what ever it was that I was served.
Upon sharing my concerns with the chef, there was absolutely zero care for the feedback provided! I then dropped my plate back at the bar and voiced my concerns once again.
The manager also had zero interest in listening to my concerns, rather preferring to debate on the portion of the steak that was eaten. I had 3 mouthfuls which in the Managers view was “the majority” of the steak being eaten. I not once asked for a refund as money was not the point.
The fact they are happy to charge $34 for this garbage cut of meat, with complete disregard to quality of service and absolutely no concern for an unhappy patron, screams loud to what you will expect if you choose to dine at this establishment.
On a balanced note, the garlic bread was enjoyable..
In finishing, If the steak was free, it might be suitable for a...
