Sahara Grill & Charcoal Chicken — Restaurant in Cannington

I drop in for lunch regularly and usually get a chicken kebab that is always great with lovely toasted bread baked on the premises. I would rate very nearly as good as the Istanbul in North Perth which is the best anywhere in Perth. Mainly because the Istanbul is scrupulously clean and a friendly bunch of guys. You do have to cut kebab staff some slack, though, as you'd get a bit flat too working in front of a hot grill all day and dealing with a mixed clientele (and that's being generous!) So I don't go in for a chat and a friendly smile, just a good meal. If you want someone to ask you cheerfully "would you like fries with that sir", go to Maccas! I also often get the grilled chicken either with chips or rice and salad which is also very nice. A generous, very middle-eastern salad with Jalapenos, olives, lettuce, tomatoes and onions which is nice but would be better if had some dressing (I usually take some of my own). The chicken is nice but could be better seasoned as not salty enough for me and don't have seasoning available when dine in. Maybe because I don't like the sauce they want to drown the chicken in? I am editing this review and changing it to a 5 star rating! Why you may ask?.... this restaurantis great, period!.... i recently converted to vegetarian, and i asked the lady there to make me a meat box, but instead of meat put smashed falafel, cheese and just a bit of mayo and bbq sauce, she literally followed my order exactly how i said it and even gave me a smile afterwards.... if thats not a 5 star experience, i don't know what is..... since i last visited the place. The standards have greatly improved and the environment is cleaner and more welcoming.... absolutely love this place. A wonderful family owned restaurant with delicious meat boxes at reasonable prices... the restaurant doesn't look very well maintained but the delicious food compensated for it. It's a family environment. I only had one issue... They messed up my order and forgot the cheese even after I paid extra for it.... They must have just forgotten to add the cheese. I added my own cheese at home and still enjoyed the meal.... It's a good...

Is it hard to wipe the tables clean? Wanting to seat and enjoy my meals but all the tables are Filthy of greese, oil stain, chicken bones etc.. from other customer from eating maybe from last night havnt been wipe down 🤔 I have to wipe down myself. Ive been sitting here for a very long time and no customer and the workers just chat chat chat and tables haven't been wipe down just brooming the floors.

Ive came back again and notice that they giving me a rice thats from yesturday. The workers are very rude to me. I do not know how you hired them in the first place with that kind of attitude. Giving me less rice. This is not right. Should be sack if keeps doing this...
