About a week ago, I came here to pick up a DoorDash delivery order. When I showed the order details page to the staff member, the lady with her hair tied up seemed unable to understand English. She stared at my phone screen for at least a minute and then asked me if I had a picture.
As a delivery driver, I am not obligated to provide any information other than the order details. I believe that understanding and handling orders is one of the most basic responsibilities of any staff member. I simply told her, “You are supposed to know the order as you are the staff here.”
Immediately after that, she told me to cancel the order and said their store was closed. I followed the standard procedure and walked to the parking lot to contact DoorDash support. When support called the store, a man who was not actually present at the time answered the phone and told them the order was ready for pickup. So I went back inside and asked the lady to explain to support that their store was closed. However, after taking my phone, she stepped aside and secretly tried to twist the situation, telling support that I refused to show her the order information.
As a result, support canceled the order. Today, when I came again, the same man (who answered the phone that day but wasn’t there at the time) questioned me about why I didn’t show them the order information.
As a delivery driver, I gain absolutely nothing from refusing to cooperate with staff. If I don’t complete the delivery, I earn no delivery fee, and if I pick up late, I could even receive a contract violation. I believe the lady who couldn’t understand the order needs to improve both her English and her professional attitude.
Furthermore, honesty and integrity should be the first things you learn when coming to this country. What good does it do to twist the truth and falsely accuse others? Even if I didn’t take that order, another driver would have. You still need to work for that order. But please, ask yourself sincerely—before God—what kind of impression do you think this kind of behavior leaves on others, and on the community you represent?
I will no longer visit or deliver from this store again, because the staff here made me feel very uncomfortable, dishonest, and difficult to...
Read moreTheir coffee is great! Same family has operated it since I’ve been in the NT! They’re great, have placed many special orders (large quantities) through them (from birthday to Christmas party events). They will prepare and decorate donuts to your preference, made fresh that day and available to collect when convenient for you (they have always bent over backwards to accommodate me, especially around timing of collection as I don’t live close to Cas).
Also the cinnamon donut deal with your coffee is chef’s kiss
Staff are all so lovely. Several tables to the right, always clean and they’ll serve you at your table if you...
