John’s Pizza Bar & Restaurant in Coober Pedy is a standout culinary destination in the heart of the South Australian outback. As a multi-award-winning establishment, it offers a diverse menu that caters to a variety of tastes. The menu features a range of options, including pizzas, pastas, steaks, and seafood. A highlight is the “Coat of Arms” pizza, which combines kangaroo and emu meats with cranberry preserve, asparagus, and camembert cheese. Vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options are also available. The restaurant provides both indoor and outdoor seating, creating a relaxed atmosphere suitable for various dining preferences. It’s conveniently located on Hutchison Street, making it easily accessible for both locals and travelers. John’s Pizza Bar & Restaurant is open daily from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM, offering lunch, dinner, and late-night dining options. Whether you’re passing through Coober Pedy or staying for a while, it’s a dining experience worth considering.

Coober Pedy is world-famous for its opal mines 💎, but there’s another hidden treasure that every traveller must experience—John’s Pizza! 🍕🔥 This place is nothing short of a paradise for pizza lovers from all around the world. From the moment they start preparing your order, you can see their passion and dedication to the craft. They don’t just make pizzas; they put their heart into every bite. ❤️ The flavours are rich, the ingredients are fresh, and the crust is just the right balance of crispy and soft. Whether it’s pizza or pasta, every dish is made with care and perfection, ensuring every customer leaves with a smile. 😊 I came to Coober Pedy for the opals, but I will be coming back just for this pizza! 🍕👌 If you're passing through, do yourself a favour and stop here—you won’t regret it! #BestPizzaEver #JohnsPizza #CooberPedy #HiddenGem #PizzaLoversParadise #WorthTheTrip

This is our second attempt to come try their pizza. In our first visit, the restaurant was packed with diners and pizza waiting time is approximately 2 hours. So skip. Service [4] Ambient [3] Friendly staff and help to arrange tables and chairs as we came in large group. Seatings are standard indoor while outdoor also available if you braved the wind. Food [3.5]. This time the pizza wait time is only 30 mins so we didn't have to starve (or sort of go very hungry). Pizza were okay. The Satay Pizza didn't have the great satay flavour nor taste. We had two large bowls of wedges but it seems not that large. I wonder how is like for Small and Medium. I didn't review other food from the menu but can see from other diners who ordered the Parma Chicken and Pasta, the portion look big. Too bad, we won't be here for long to try others as heading south soon.

We decided we couldn't be bother cooking after a big day out exploring Coober Pedy yesterday so decided we would go to John's Pizza Bar & Restaurant for dinner before going to the drive in.

The staff were very friendly and pleasant. We were impressed with the menu- some really interesting pizzas. We tossed up between the several different ones and settled on the Spartan. We ordered a medium sized pizza and 2 coffees (couldn't have skim milk, they were out of that - again, in an outback community, I forgive that and it hasn't affected the rating), and requested the coffees not be prepared until after the pizza came.

The place wasn't hugely busy when we got there, but there were a few diners. We did wait a touch longer than we thought for a pizza, but that hasn't affect our rating. When the pizza arrived the waitress asked us if we would like some individual plates and if we would like cutlery or just serviettes. She promptly returned with the plates and serviettes. (These could have been provided earlier - but again, hasn't really affected our rating). We reminded the waitress to do our coffees now that our pizza had arrived.

The pizza wasn't to our liking - it may be fine for others, but the base was thin and very crisp and the toppings were over cooked. We felt the pizza was totally overcooked. It didn't lack in toppings, just quite overcooked for us to enjoy. When the coffees arrived and I tried mine, I commented to my husband that it wasn't nice- it tasted burnt, but perhaps it was because I was used to skim milk and not full cream milk. When my husband tried his, he commented the same, that his tasted burnt as well. All in all, it was a disappointing meal for us. We didn't comment at the time as we had to leave to go to another commitment.

In fairness, they haven't had the opportunity to respond. Great menu, and nice staff though, just disappointed with the food...

Title: Heavenly Slice of Cheese Pizza

Rating: ★★★★☆

I recently enjoyed a delightful cheese pizza from my favorite pizzeria, and it's safe to say that it exceeded my expectations.

The crust was just the right balance of crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside, providing the perfect canvas for the star of the show – the cheese. The cheese, a blend of mozzarella and perhaps a hint of cheddar, was beautifully melted and evenly spread across the entire pizza. It had that classic stretchy goodness that cheese lovers adore.

What truly impressed me was the sauce. It was a harmonious blend of sweet and tangy, with a subtle hint of herbs and spices. It complemented the cheese and crust perfectly, making each bite a mouthwatering experience. The generous portion of sauce left me craving more with each slice.

The cheese pizza had just the right amount of cheese-to-sauce ratio, ensuring that every bite was flavorful without being overwhelming. It's a pizza that appeals to both kids and adults alike, making it a crowd-pleaser for any occasion.

The only reason I'm not giving it a full five stars is that I'm a fan of additional toppings to add a little extra excitement to my pizza. While the classic cheese pizza is undeniably delicious, sometimes a bit of variety is nice.

All in all, if you're in the mood for a classic, mouthwatering cheese pizza that satisfies your cheesy cravings and leaves you with a smile, this one is worth a try. It's a comforting and satisfying option for pizza enthusiasts, and I'll definitely be returning for more cheesy goodness...

Seriously food poisoning!

We been recently traveled to Coober Pedy. The hotel manager recommended the to us! Six of us ordered 3 sets of main mail and a big pizza! One of the main is mixed grill!

Two of the girls shared this dish and after they tasted the lamb, they find out the meat was already gone bad, tasted horrible and smelled stain!

We ask for help ,a girl who called AMY,she claimed that she is the person who take in charge of the kitchen that night ,she was extremely rude and didn't even apologise once to us!

She said we can either get 10% off of the mixed grill dish or give us a bottle of soft drink.

We get the drink, then we found out the pork in the set was gone bad as well!We asked Her again,AMY was so rude she said I can give you the refund you can still eat the meal or she will feed the dog after !

Excuse me!Is that the appropriate attitude that a chef should have ? She gave us $28 dollars refund!Very rude! I have never seen anyone like her,we tried to negotiate with her, she was so aggressive!

We spent 2 days back to Adelaide! The two poor girls went to see the doctor because they are so sick after the food poisoning!

We have the receipt, the medical certificate and the video to...
