Coffey's Hotel — Restaurant in Cooma

The food is good, ambiance is excellent and service is great except for the that rude manager who gets easily annoyed and irritated after I changed my order once or twice cause I was working out which order will work out better for my family. My daughter and I even heard her whisper to her staff ‘ridiculous!’ Our order took too long that I had to follow it up(more than 30 mins). Unfortunately she was the one on the counter again. I told her all of our friends have already gotten their orders and we still havent received any of ours. She responded to me with ‘your friends ordered before you and they didnt take too long to place their orders.’ I knew I took some time to finalise my order but it’s not like I wasted 10 minutes of her time. And when our first order became available, I went to the counter to collect the order and I mistakenly collected one of my friends’ order thinking it was ours and I exclaimed ‘finally!’ She heard it and told me that my reaction wasnt good enough! Only to find out that it wasnt still our order😆 and still had to wait some time.

Turned up with a reservation for 10 people for a birthday and ordered at the same time. Meals were delivered across a 120 minute period. With the first arriving 20 minutes after ordering then nothing else. He had finished his meal and had to leave because of the over an hour wait before the next meals were delivered. When the second round of meals arrived several of the orders were uncooked, burnt or orders were incomplete. My order was partially collected 30 minutes later and the buzzer mistakenly back and when I went to wait for my meal foolishly believing that it must be along soon the chef shouted that it was going to be 10 more minutes. Hi everybody. Back again to this great pub in winter. Says it all. First time, the best lamb shanks I've ever eaten (and I'm very fussy) and could buy a VB stubbie which I like with lunch. They had the lamb pre-cooked in anticipation so lunch was served in about 10 minutes. Terrific. Second time, shanks were off the menu so I went for the seafood. Didn't bring my ladder which was needed to climb over the mountain of delicious food. Service was great, quick and efficient and the proprietors have spent a lot of $$ re-furbishing this hotel, but it still recalls it's old time charm and elegance. A bit off the beaten track, but...
