Ol' Buoy — Restaurant in Cottesloe

It's a cute little place and offers good food options but unfortunately our fruit was sliced and placed on top of our acai bowl right near the collection counter by a staff member not wearing gloves, nor did she wash her hands first. It was a hot day and she wiped sweat from her face twice, once while preparing the food and once after plaving it on the counter for me. She then wiped her hands on a tea-towl dropped over her shoulder. I asked very politely if that was usual practice for them to not wash hands or wear gloves and she said they don't wear gloves so I asked for my money back. Instead the lady offered to remake it and wash her hands first so I accepted that instead. It was a nice acai bowl and the service was nice but it is so unhygienic to be wiping sweat from your face while handling food with bare hands and not washing. Coffee rushed and its cold ask for extra hot, the next time, and its boiling, 0 care as there busy pump it out, food being cooked bare hands even final product handled bare hands, health and safety out the door, had a staff member roll his eyes when I asked a question, what sweetener do you have, he said equal, I said which 1, he said equal again, I asked again and explained as there are 3 types of equal, to busy pumping out coffees to bother but i stood my ground, and said rectangle pack is equivalent to 2 sugars, long skinny sticks 1 sugar and tablets 1, well I not only taught him something, but he was still rude, anyway coffee rushed and very avrage on taste, general store...

Friendly staff. Fast efficient service. Need to stay close to where you place your orders to collect, as it is an open space, it is hard to hear when your name is being called out. Ol' Bouy is located underneath the Indiana on Cottesloe beach, cute sitting area that is shaded and in the open. They use recyclable takeaway cups, that you can dispose of onsight.
