This is usually a really good local option for some cafe style viet food. Tonight though is a bit disappointing.

The duck maryland was very bland. The sauce was tasteless & there should have been more of it. The presentation was nice though.

The special pho was just ok but really lacked the depth of flavour you'd expect from this classic Vietnamese dish. It's not terrible or anything but just kinda underwhelming. Again the presentation was nice enough.

Spring rolls are homemade which I appreciate & not bad but again lacking seasoning & flavour.

The sticky rice dessert was lacking as well.

The food altogether was just not what it was last year. Its a shame & I hope they can get back to where they were before.

The restaurant is not nearly as busy as it once was.

Also the service is speedy but just not very pleasant. You shouldn't roll your eyes for a simple table change request. & berating the junior staff in front of customers just leaves a bitter taste in the mouth.

Junior staff member was fast & very polite.

Overall just a bit disappointing tonight but I still have hope for this place and will still probably give...

Spring rolls and rice paper rolls were nice but theyre really hard to get wrong anyway. I ordered a bowl of pho and the broth didnt even resemble what pho is meant to taste like. It didnt have that nice aromatic taste. Instead it was a very strong flavour that resembled beef cup noodles. Pho has a very distinct flavour profile and this missed the mark by a mile. If you had this blind-folded you would think maggi beef cup noodles, not pho. It didnt even come with hoisin sauce on the side which is a condiment that is usually served with pho. Fortunately, this is Townsville and the people here dont know the difference so I think this business will do just fine lol if youre from outside of Townsville or you are looking for authentic pho, this is not it :) try their other...

Ordered Bun Bo hue (spicy noodle soup), priced at $16.90. Initial thought was price is relatively steep for these kinds of dishes compared to Sydney and Adelaide. However new to the Townsville region so pricing may be tied to the locale.

The dish itself was delicious however. The meat, noodles and soup was yum. Surprisingly, the chilli paste comes seperate, so you can adjust the spice to how you like it.

Service was quick, the lady working the front isn't too customer focused, but it shouldn't matter as it doesn't detract from the food.

Situated in the shopping centre. The interior is a simple and...

Good potion size. Taste good. Pretty much the best Vietnamese restaurant in Townsville at the end of 2019 early 2020. I’ve been recommended this shop to people at work (no complaints so far). I really hope they don’t start cutting the herbs and veggie portions in their dishes like most restaurants I see in North QLD. Vietnamese cuisine relies heavily the wide varieties of herbs and veggies. Cutting them will drastically change the flavour profile. I don’t want another generic Asian food shop, thanks.

My go-to Vietnamese restaurant in Townsville! Love their Spicy Noodle (highly recommend switching to Flat Noodle which they'll do) and get it most times I am there! Very filling and generous servings! Their pandan dessert is also very good! The service is good and I heard they work closely with international students from the local university to provide them employment whilst they are in Townsville (regardless of if their Vietnamese or not) which is a great to hear!
