Largest in Townsville. Really appreciate the free scooters so you can shop when disabled. That makes life a lot nicer!😀 Mary at Centre Help very nice and, wait for it! Helpful! 😃 Jamie at big w technology, phones etc a great help for the tech challenged. Food court exorbitant, like all now alas. But, wow, nearly $10 for a sandwich kfc? ?? 2 pieces of chicken $6.00???? Wow, generous! And they do dodgy and terrible things to the chickens they raise no doubt. For very little cost cos that's number one. All food terribly priced. As in waaay over. Take your own snacks maybe? We learnt that trick round Europe! Saves 👍🎉 $$$$$$ BUT What is with the Sunday and Saturday trading hours???? Are you kidding? Shopping is a sport and pass time!!!😆 I'm aware all Townsville like this but this seems the lamest and most limited. I swear there were ghouls lurking about and tumble weeds rolling through the place at 3.30!😲😱 THANKS for the ample comfortable and free seating though, again, a blessing for the disabled and for anyone who hasn't scampered up Everest lately! Major towns do the opposite but hey, NQ , I guess. Meanwhile Kmart over the road is open till 6pm Sunday AND HAVE YOU SEEN THE PRICES LATELY? ??? BEATS COLES just nearby, and they very occasionally have some good specials! Thanks...
Read moreSuch a horrible shopping centre in almost all regards. The parking is horrendous - if you come in from the main road, you're stuck in a carpark that only services Myer. Of you want one of the other car parks, you need to do a u-turn at traffic lights nearly every time. The main shopping centre has been extended so many times that there are alleyways and weird turns everywhere - so easy to get lost. Half the centre is done up modern, and half is still old and decrepid. If you want to go to Kmart or some other shops... oops, you need to drive diagonally across the road to the other part of the centre, or cross a major intersection by foot, in the rain and weather. Seriously, I only ever come here I'd I really need something I can't get anywhere else, which equates to about...
Read moreWith a wide variety of stores, and many services, Stockland is a one stop shopping centre for many people. It is also close to the city University and hospital. Centrally located and with a large multistory carpark, you will have little trouble finding a carpark even during busy periods.
Be warned though, Saturday mornings are the worst crowdwise for general trading. Obviously seasonal events such as Christmas are even worse. That said, centre management does a wonderful job of maintaining the facility. Public restrooms are plentiful, and are well maintained. There is also 3 seperate, well appointed parents rooms located throughout the centre. They all have TVs tuned to a children's channel, and the one closest to the food court even has a small...
