A great Vietnamese restaurant in Devonport mall. Tiny entrance you could walk straight past but actually a large space inside.

On the wall are pictures of all the multitude of different dishes of Vietnam celebrating the unique features of Vietnamese cuisine, although not all are on the menu. Use it as a reference to ask staff about the menu and learn about the culture.

Menu is extensive. Pho, bun, pancakes (big and small), steamed and fried dumplings... The restaurant also covers a lot of different food for vegan, vegetarian, gluten free as well as meat/fish. Service for this informal place is really helpful and friendly. I was really impressed that I checked if something was gluten free and had that confirmed but the service staff had also checked all items we had ordered for our reference.

Took mum (80) last week and she hasn't stopped talking about the place. Went again today for lunch and it was as delicious as last time. Will...

Tasty food but need to make it easier to order

There are pictures of Vietnamese food on the wall as a celebration of the culture. It is confusing to have pictures of food in a restaurant that doesn’t have those dishes on offer.

There are some pictures of the food in the menu but the pictures on the wall make it confusing. I’d suggest either taking that down or offering those items.

I requested a completely vegetarian noodle soup which wasn’t on the menu and they obliged. It was absolutely wonderful. It had vegetables, fresh herbs including lemongrass and rice noodles.

She suggested a Vietnamese coffee which I wasn’t sure what to expect and it was super sweet!

The women working there were very nice. I...

I was surprised to be charged a 15% surcharge on Tuesday, particularly since Easter Tuesday is not recognised as a public holiday in Tasmania by Fair Work—it only applies to the public service. The staff also did not mention the surcharge when I placed my order. When I questioned it and showed them the information from the Fair Work website, they were unable to provide an explanation and simply said it was the owner’s instruction.

I also ordered the chicken fried rice, which was quite disappointing. There was barely any meat in the dish, making it feel overpriced considering the portion and quality.

I’m sharing this feedback in the hope it encourages greater transparency and improvements in food quality...

I’ve been trying different Vietnamese restaurants in Australia for 10 years and never met staff who ordered the wrong thing for me and kept saying that’s my wrong decision to order. I won’t come to dine in this restaurant if the waitress couldn’t understand anything about customer orders and just argues but not even say a simple sorry or apologies for her mistakes. Attitude is very important but she’s has only argument with people. In addition, truly, the noodle of Chicken was not tasty at all.

I had no expectation when I came in, was hungry and not many other place is open. I ordered egg noodles soup with char siu. I share bits of it with my baby and we both really enjoyed it! Also kudos to the staffs, they were friendly and quite attentive. Of course with a baby with me it was bit handful and she kindly offered high chair (that I didn't know exist) so my baby can sit while waiting for food. Happy with the experience, will come back for more! :D
