A great Vietnamese restaurant in Devonport mall. Tiny entrance you could walk straight past but actually a large space inside.
On the wall are pictures of all the multitude of different dishes of Vietnam celebrating the unique features of Vietnamese cuisine, although not all are on the menu. Use it as a reference to ask staff about the menu and learn about the culture.
Menu is extensive. Pho, bun, pancakes (big and small), steamed and fried dumplings... The restaurant also covers a lot of different food for vegan, vegetarian, gluten free as well as meat/fish. Service for this informal place is really helpful and friendly. The staff also did not mention the surcharge when I placed my order. When I questioned it and showed them the information from the Fair Work website, they were unable to provide an explanation and simply said it was the owner’s instruction.
I also ordered the chicken fried rice, which was quite disappointing. There was barely any meat in the dish, making it feel overpriced considering the portion and quality.
I’m sharing this feedback in the hope it encourages greater transparency and improvements in food quality...
