I wanted to love this place because, at night, the atmosphere is lovely. But the food was a huge let down. The menu makes this place look like it has wonderful vegetarian options. That is not the case. The Poke Bowl (which was labelled "vegan on request") did not have a protein substitute for the salmon. It seems a bit ridiculous for the non-fish eaters to pay $23 for what is then a very basic salad (as it was also discovered that the poke bowl did not come served with rice... how odd for a poke bowl). The veg club sandwich was clearly designed by a person who doesn't understand the dynamics of vegetarian food. What arrived was soggy mushrooms and a soggy veggie patty between bread. Hardly a "club sandwich" which can be easily made vegetarian by using some creative substitutes for bacon and poultry (e.g. tofu, seitan, meat substitutes). Finally, the mango sticky rice dessert was labelled "vegan." It arrived with dairy ice-cream.
The waitstaff, although poliet and caring, have minimal understanding of the menu. When asked questions they have to "check with the kitchen" every time (each check often lasting several minute.)
So while this place looks great, if you are a vegetarian/vegan and after great vego food avoid this place. Other places like Muku, Au Lac, Akiba, offer much better...
Read moreWent for a date night in the atrium expecting great things just like the reviews before me have said. But it was far from that. Upon arrival we got one drink each and placed an order, due to me being a picky eater the really nice waitress got me the bar menu. (Thank you) my boyfriend ordered steak and I myself ordered the chicken parma. The steak was cold and the mash was freezing cold. Mine was completely tasteless, it took about 50 minutes for the food to come out which we wouldn’t have minded If it was busy, there was just us a table of two, and a family at the other end of the restaurant. Nobody checked on us throughout the meal and only got another drink when we called a waitress over. The place was cold and there was children running through the small forestry area beside us standing watching us eat. There was a table behind us which we watched leave when we arrived, & when we went to leave about an hour and 15 minutes later their table was still uncleared with dirty plates on it. Overall extremely disappointing and won’t be returning. As Joey in friends says...
Read moreOkay food, not okay service Had ordered a few dishes over two evenings. The steak was pretty good, lamb skewers passable, rogan josh was okay but had no seasoning. Aubergine portion was small but tasted good. Food was well arranged, specofically the Eton Mess and Pie. However, the service was where things fell flat fast. Had to get the waitress' attention every time we wanted to order. An order of two courses took two hours. We waited for 45 minutes after ordering dessert. Also, had to enquire about the status a couple of times before the order arrived. The reason given was there are two parties and the restaurant was full. And shortage of staff. Would have been very valid if communicated earlier, not after waiting for 45 minutes and enquiring about the status. What really took the cake was the casual response from one of the waitresses who brought out the desserts, "sorry guys, this is the reality of the service industry." Agree, some training would...
