Definitely not recommended worst experience ever. Trust me Dont go to this place, you will learn the lesson if you won't believe me. I ordered takeaway chicken Briyani the ripped me off!! And price of boxe of rice mixed chicken $23. Extremely over priced for a box of so called biryani and it was just disgusting.
They have absolutely no idea how to make a Briyani, served me with boiled rice mixed up with some old curry, very oily & greasy and apparently they mix up with curry & white rice in a pan fry it then box it in a microwave, afterwords just garnish it with some leaves and coriander too look fresh and good! Definitely not recommended. This place food quality and price it's just terrible. I have eaten Briyani's hundreds of times but this was my worst life experience ever!!! I will never go again I will definitely not recommend any going there or getting any takeaway from this place. Apparently manager was saying this is his best biryani, what champ thinks he is! Bad customer service. Terrible experience it's like you paying a good price for food which you can't even eat and you're burning your blood while eating this food!! I was left with no choice but just disappointment and grief. Sad. definitely not...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis review has taken me too long to get done, but the 4.1 rating on Google blew my mind. We love indian food and this is our go to place. And when I say our 'go to' place, by my calculations we have been there no less than 30 times (not joking). We have also taken ATLEAST 8 different groups of friends there and they also loved it.
Anjin (not sure on the spelling), the owner, is genuine, friendly and a lovely guy. We showed interest in the cooking of the dishes and he took the time to show us the kitchen. Interesting fact, they are one of the only indian restaurants in Canberra to use a coal fired tandoor oven, and you can taste the difference.
As a point on their service. We once visited with friends and ordered a bottle of wine. We didnt realise, but they had overcharged us on the bill. When we came back two weeks later, they admitted their mistake and took the difference off our bill.
Do yourself a favour and try this place for yourself!
Recommendation: Try the Mean Molly fish curry. We're currently overseas and were still talking about it.
*Disclaimer: I know the restaurant was on the market to sell. If the restaurant has changed hands, im not sure what will happen to the quality, but hopefully it...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreListen and listen good. Whilst I havenāt tried every Indian restaurant on earth, Iām quietly confident in my appraisal that this cheeky little number is top ten of all time.
We started off with the humble samosa. Nothing outrageous out of the blocks, a safe as houses bet to curb the hunger before the big dance. Expectations were absolutely blown apart, strongly recommend.
Next up was the classic butter chicken, accompanied by a pair of olā faithful, garlic and cheese naans. āRice?ā I hear you ask⦠Donāt be ridiculous, pull your head in.
The butter chicken was exceptional and I knew it was good just by the colour of it. Think molten lava but without the life threatening ramifications. Anyway, the thigh fillets were tender and the sauce was spot on, perfect for drenching the naan.
AND THE NAAN! The garlic was balanced to perfection against the cheese in a symphony of flavour that youād tell your Mum about.
I donāt care what youāre doing right now but you need to drop it and go get yourself some of this stuff as a matter...
