⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely Outstanding!
I had breakfast at Capital Grind Cafe & Burgers this morning and it was honestly one of the best café experiences I’ve had in Canberra. I ordered the smashed avocado bruschetta — it was perfection. The smooth avocado and creamy feta were balanced beautifully with a tangy-sweet balsamic glaze, and the two poached eggs were cooked exactly right. Every bite was spot-on.
The coffee was just as impressive — so good I had to order a second one! Raj, the owner, was incredibly welcoming and genuinely hospitable; a great host and easy to chat with. The atmosphere was relaxed and inviting, with soft background tunes and stylish modern décor that made it the perfect place to start the day.
If you’re in Canberra city and looking for a café that nails great food, great coffee, and genuine service — this is the place....
Read moreA pretty 'nothing' exterior and decor is an unexpected front to super chef-y, fresh-as brekkie fare. I ordered smashed avo on toast and was surprised at the charge, thinking it was a mistake I'd come to this place that overcharged. When it arrived, I got another surprise. One of THE best smashed avos ever with two large PERFECTLY poached eggs perched atop with balsamic glaze. Soooooo yum.
Coffee was very promptly served and was great tho could have been a smidge hotter...to compensate for the Canberra chill factor.
Great service, friendly professional staff, very clean setting. Would not have come in had it not been for the positive online reviews. Would suggest marketing yourselves better with a more colourful sign out the front sitting perpendicular to your shop front. Great business name with top fare and coffee deserves some good...
Read moreDisappointed with the service and standard here. The waitress got my order wrong - I ordered eggs benedict but with the sauce on the side (they always drown the bread in the sauce I find!), and the sauce was not on the side - the waitress said she'd 'forgot to tell the cook' and didn't seem particularly sorry about the error. Pretty poor effort as we were the only customers at the time, so surely this isn't hard to remember. The sauce itself was not nice, clearly bought in a packet, probs a coles special. I also ordered hash browns that didn't come, but easily rectified, just a bit of a nuisance. The coffee was okay, not great but decent enough. The music was too loud and disturbed the atmosphere, which would've been nice otherwise. Won't be eating here again - there are much better...
