Just love this place! It's fabulous any time of day and the menu is extensive and excellent, but it's particularly fun to go at the end of trading on Sunday and get some deals. Of course you're playing roulette that someone two places ahead of you in line won't grab exactly the item you want (that's happened a few times!) but that's part of the fun. It's a great opportunity to try something new at reduced prices.
I've never had anything bad from here, but particular favourites would be: soybean bread doughnuts muffins
You won't regret a visit here, whether you're buying to take home or to scarf down at a table just outside. And the scores of other people forming a queue ahead of you all agree :)
ETA: As others have said, the bagels from here ARE NOT BAGELS. I don't know why they call them that when they're clearly not boiled and don't have the dense chewy crumb of an actual bagel. They're fluffy bread rolls with a hole in the middle. Weird misstep from an otherwise...

We walked past and the donuts looked quite good. There was 5 people in front the line - pretty standard line for a bakery so we thought, why not.
It is without a doubt the slowest customer service ever. It took 15 minutes to order 2 donuts. Everyone in the queue was ropeable.
The reason why m: because there was only 2 staff working, one making coffee really slowly (why you would get coffee there is beyond me with piccolo next door), and the other who was constantly leaving the till to eat and drink a milkshake.
Cmon guys, service isn’t a hard thing...
Read moreI made the grave error of trying to eat a bagel from this place today. I should’ve known better having previously found them highly disappointing. I waited, per usual, for fifteen minutes for a toasted everything bagel with cream cheese, and received instead a cold bread roll. These should be advertised as “nothing bagels” instead as they have almost no topping (see photo). They’re also clearly not bagels, but soft white bread rolls, clearly unboiled before baking. Seriously appalling. I’ll hopefully remember this disappointment before stepping into this place again. Worst bread rolls in Canberra....
