Chunky Steak Pie
Crust Bakery has been my go-to pie pit stop for a while now, and once again, they’ve delivered the goods. I grabbed their chunky steak pie ($8.50), and as usual, it didn’t disappoint. The pastry was golden, the chunks were actually chunky, and the gravy had that rich, meaty depth that says, “Yeah, I know what I’m doing.”
It’s not trying to reinvent the wheel – it’s just a bloody good pie that shows up, clocks in, and gets the job done. Like a tradie on time with his own tools.
Nothing fancy. No frills. Just crust, meat, and satisfaction.

Read moreStopped by early morning to get fresh plain croissants, chocolate croissants and almond croissants. They were all tasty, generous in size and weight. The fluffy, multi-layers were there. The almond croissants are gigantic and heavy (215g), very satisfying but unfortunately the filling is not made with almond meal but more of a vanilla custard.
