The coffee was good, the avocado toast was ok but overpriced, quantity was not much and the sourdough bread was small and way to thin which made it hard to enjoy the bread also we ordered an extra egg and one of eggs was overcooked, for $22 ($25 including the extra egg )base I was expecting more. The service was mediocre/ laughable, we sat down and waited a bit, no menu so I went inside to ask they said the menu is there ( help yourself) which was a joke since when people sit down the expectation is that someone will bring the menu not the customer needs to go and ask. I ordered over the counter then I was advised to help myself when it comes to tap water, cutlery, salt and pepper I found it strange that a cafe asks their customers to help yourself attitude since it’s expected the cafe to provide this service Lucky enough they didn’t ask us to clean the table Overall wasn’t worth it, there are other cafes near by.

This cafe is clearly a local favourite! It was buzzing with energy when I visited, and there was a bit of a wait for a table. But let me tell you, the wait was absolutely worth it. The chicken burger and pancake I had was fantastic, and the coffee was perfect. The staff were hustling despite how busy they were, and they were still friendly and attentive. They clearly take pride in what they do. This cafe is really welcoming as we were greeted with a smile. * Delicious food and drinks * Friendly staff * Great atmosphere (if you enjoy a lively vibe) I highly recommend Early Edition! Just be prepared for a bit of a wait if you go during peak hours. The delicious food and friendly service make it well worth it. Edited 23/02/25 The best dirty matcha I’ve ever had!!!

Early Edition Cafe is an absolute gem in Canberra, delivering not just a meal but an experience. We indulged in their Mushroom Croissant, which was a flaky, buttery delight packed with earthy, flavorful mushrooms—a perfect savory start. The Avocado Toast was vibrant and fresh, featuring a generous spread of creamy avocado on perfectly toasted sourdough, elevated with zesty toppings. And the showstopper? The Pancakes—soft, fluffy, and decadently topped, offering a sweet ending that felt like a warm hug on a plate. The ambiance was cozy and inviting, with friendly staff who made us feel right at home. Whether you’re a local or just visiting, Early Edition is a must-visit for a fantastic breakfast / brunch experience.

Tucked away on Kingston Foreshore, I recently stumbled upon a fantastic cafe called Early Edition. From the outside, the cafe has a sleek and modern look with large windows that let in plenty of natural light. Stepping inside, I was immediately impressed by the clean and inviting atmosphere. The cafe is decorated with minimalist furniture, creating a chic yet relaxed vibe.

The coffee was perfectly brewed, and the food was flavorful. I could tell that the cafe uses high-quality ingredients and takes pride in its craft.

As I enjoyed my coffee, I noticed the friendly staff interacting with customers. They were attentive and helpful, creating a welcoming environment. Whether you're catching up with friends, working on your laptop, or simply enjoying a solo coffee break, Early edition is the perfect spot.

Waitress was really rude. We came in on Saturday at around 11ish. We had ordered coffee and food and we had our docket on the same table we sat all along. once our coffees arrived the server took the docket which i was confused at because we were still waiting on food. Someone else was given the docket and the waitress walked it to that table. We got her attention and she was upset with us accusing that we had moved from our table. She loudly announced that we should keep to our docket. When we explained that someone took it she wasn’t listening until the second time which she just said “oh” and no apology for humiliating us in front of the others in the cafe. Even if no one heard her tell us off for a mistake that wasn’t even ours, it ruined our lunch. Please teach your staff to be kind and non-accusatory. She also checked in on all the customers except us. I’m not sure if it’s discrimination but it’s...
