East Pizza — Restaurant in District of Canberra Central

Review update, after being told by staff when we arrived to pick up our pizza we would get a refund. 2 weeks later we have not received a refund as promised

Ordered online, one pizza was requested gluten free. East Pizza couldn't make a gluten free pizza today however they took payment for the order and did not contact us. In this situation a phone call is expected especially as money had been taken. No notification was received that they were not going to make our order. We drove from Tuggeranong to be told at the counter that our order was not made, they could make while we waited, but not gluten free. We had no pizza for dinner and no refund! I do not recommend East Pizza the customer service was poor, the staff at the counter didn't seem to care, not interested in providing a refund or apologising today. We are still waiting for a refund...

Bit of a rare find that has kept me coming back for more since our first meeting. I'm in love with East Pizza - there I've said it! A big part of that comes down to them getting the basics right. There is nothing worse than getting a pizza that slops and slides all over itself and really feels more like an open burrito than an actual pizza. The bases at East are firm enough for you to pick up a slice and eat it without losing everything to the depths, but not so crispy that you feel like you're eating a big ol' sayo. The base sauce is also exactly how I like it, and the toppings (although I only go the mare monte week in week out cuz I'm a big prawn guy) always taste fresh as. Huge fan of what this organisation is doing and I wish them all the best...

Absolutely appalling service! I arrived at 8.42pm and stood patiently waiting to be served for about three minutes before being told that they don’t take orders twenty minutes before they close. Twenty minutes is apparently not long enough to make a single pizza in an empty restaurant. And for the record I have held pizza chef jobs at three restaurants in the past. Those being Bitz and Pizzas in jindabyne, Alpine later restaurant in lake Crackenback and at the domino’s in Cooma(though that doesn’t count). I am mostly just angered by how outrageously rude both members of staff were and how they could even talk to anyone in such a way unprovoked.
