So far, one of the great Pho in Canberra. My wife and I liked the taste of Pho and Vermicelli salad. Two Vietnamese?owner seemed doing proper hygiene as they don't throw spoons and chopsticks on the table. Also one Vietnamese man was cleaning the floor which gave me impression of tidy restaurant.
There are just two nitpicks. First, its atmosphere doesn't seem to be any Vietnamese restaurant but more like fish and chips shop or servo cafe serving some sausage rolls or burgers. So I thought I walked into a wrong place. It is not even giving any oriental restaurant atmosphere.
Second, the portion seemed a bit smaller than normal portion as I and my wife were not quite full after the meal.

Read moreNever been to a cafe as unwelcoming! after saying good morning to the owners and standing infront of the service area I waited 3-4 minutes before being told I need to order from their till. It was 7am and there was no one else in the cafe so I’m confused but ok. After my coffee was made and placed on the counter I thanked the owner and wished him a good day, he didn’t say anything.
If you’re reading this owners, don’t run a shop if you can’t say hello, your coffee was putrid but the worst thing about visiting iron knob bakery was being ignored and feeling like an inconvenience. Sausage roll was pastry was slightly undercooked & spring rolls were bit tasteless and no fresh herbs in it to elevate the flavor & sauce was just hoisin sauce from a can. Somewhat underwhelming.
