Anatolia Mediterranean Market — Local services in District of Canberra Central

We are so lucky and excited to have this shop in Canberra!

The background is that we started recently to have grown quite a bit of interest into the Turkish stuff, such as Turkish Coffee, Turkish Tea, Turkish Delights, and so on. So we searched for some places in Canberra so we could actually walk in and shop something. Wow! this store has so many Turkish things and stuff that we have never had chances to touch and feel for real.

We ended up buying a Turkish Teapot (double boiler called Caydanlik as I remember), a set of beautiful tea glasses and tea plates, and some Turkish tea leaves to start with. The owner surprisingly and kindly offered each of us a cup of Turkish tea and some delicious sweets to accompany with. It was like our dream came true, especially after we had quite a bit of reading about the Turkish tea stuff. That was my first ever cup of Turkish tea that I will never forget. Thank you!

Now, we drink Turkish tea everyday, in the beautiful tulip shaped tea glasses.

One day, we will definitely go to visit...

I was just overjoyed to find this gem of a place! Really excellent Turkish supermarket and bazaar with a ton of grocery items and a good selection of fun homewares and kitchen equipment.

I was particularly happy to find some hard-to-find-other-places-in-Canberra food items, like Turkish oregano and rose petal jam. They also had jallab syrup and imported European chocolate, just to name a few. I was also highly tempted by the tea sets and some of the kitchenware. All the staff were so friendly and helpful. I'm delighted to have found Anatolia and look forward to...

Good place to buy Halal products, dry fruits, meats, Turkish and middle eastern produce and Islamic prayer mats etc. They also sell perfumes from middle eastern fragrance houses. They sell Turkish desserts as well. Gotta take away 1 star from them for not having prices marked on their items, which makes it hard to decide if you are ambiguous about trying out a product. Their bread isn't always fresh either. These 2 departments...
