Went here excited to celebrate a friend moving away/girls lunch so we had booked Tipsy Tea for 22 people. Sadly there were some issues. 1. You told us to we needed to calm down as there were children under the age of 2 in the establishment.. I thought it was a cocktail bar? 2. I paid $70.. Now Iâd understand paying that if the food wasnât the size of a 20c coin. And if I received the cocktails I paid for. But instead I paid $70 for a sausage roll, a donut (both as I said the size of a 20c coin) and a single drink. I feel like taking the orders down properly and actually written down might avoid this confusion for another person. Service wasnât exactly what Iâd call friendly. It almost seemed like everything was a bit to much effort.. and when youâve spent around $1,650+ (Remember there was 22 of us and extra drinks were paid for ) you want to feel welcome. Maybe get a smile every now and then at least. I get the theme.. But the table space wasnât exactly large group friendly. 22 girls around 3-4 tables and staff were annoyed that a glass was broken when there was barely any room for the glasses...
Read moreWe booked a Tipsy Tea for a birthday at White Rabbit and it was fantastic from the start to finish. We didnât want to leave! Comfortable seating and quirky dĂ©cor combined with fabulous staff who went out of their way to make us feel at home. The Tipsy Tea menu was more than enough to satisfy with delicious savoury canapes, a sorbet palate cleanser and super sweet desserts. They even catered for gluten free dietary requirements. All of this came with a choice of two different cocktails or sparkling wine or tea and coffee for the tea totallers. The cocktails were beautifully presented and the food was served on cute little vintage cake stands and plates. My favourites were the Bloody Mary prawn cocktail, Tea Party bourbon served in a tea cup and Hazelnut brownie⊠Yum! The dĂ©cor was an Alice in Wonderland style and just made you feel cozy and relaxed. I canât praise the staff enough, they were all so friendly and attentive and I canât wait to return for another Tipsy Tea or a Cocktail class! If you are looking for an intimate venue for a group event I would highly recommend you book at White...
Read moreBooked tipsy high tea for my 50th birthday function with about 25 people attending..Very disappointed with the overall organisation, communication and standard of food/beverages... Not enough seating when we got there so had to help staff bring more chairs which led to area being very crammed... Waited over an hour for drinks and when arrived were very diluted...food was poor quality and savouries so small in size...nothing like that shown on their website and seemed to be bought from a supermarket freezer.. at the end was rushed out of the doors as they had to make way for the next sitting but most of the delay was due to their inefficient/insufficient staffing on the day... have sent emails and tried to contact Grace (?owner) several times since my function to discuss but no response... Posting this so others are aware of potential issues with this place... would not recommend the tipsy high tea or holding any function there...if the quality of the cocktails are the same as we had, I wouldn't even recommend it as a place for a drink... Only positive was venue ambience and decor which...
