There was a long wait time once we had made our orders and it seemed like other people were getting their order first despite us ordering before them. It took them ages to bring out the meats to our table and they didn't even bring out all the meats that we order at once. Furthermore, it took them even longer to bring out noodles to us.
I didn't like the fact that you weren't allowed to customise the heat of the hotpot so the hotpot water would evaporate really fast and we had to ask the staff mutiple times to turn down the heat so we didn't run out of water. Not to mention the pot themselves didn't really come with that much water to begin with. It didn't help that the amount of noodles they gave us among 4 people was very little so most of the time my family and I would be eating the meat without any base food to go with it.
The one positive i can give to this place was the fact that there were many options to customise your dip with the free dipping station.
Overall didn't like my time here and i won't be coming back due to the long wait times and wasn't worth the price being over 100+ dollars for...
Read moreExcellent intro to some basic healthy eating. Starting safe we requested for veg bone broth. It had fresh seaweed, cucumbers. Very pleasant tasty soup - our only wonder was why the small discreet mini sausage like meat which we didn’t think appropriate. For colour, carrot slices would be more visually attractive. We ordered veg and variety mushrooms and beef slices. Hot pot stove boiled very well and they even top up broth if running low. Choice of sauces or toppings in a help yourself was excellent. We had garlic, spring onions, chillies and a very distinctive Szechuan pepper oil (incidentally, not red) which was very nice. We were surprised at our very enjoyable experience. Good for family or social get together .... of course so long as we all observe healthy table etiquette ie use common serving spoons and chopsticks. DONT like double dipping utensils if having communal meals. The restaurant provides these utensils -...
Read moreTl;dr: the dipping sauce and drink wait was so long.
I’m upset about last night’s experience. We booked a table at 7:30 and when we arrived at 7:20 we waited there until 7:40 to be seated. After ordering, the food were served at a fast pace, we found out that the dipping sauce station was closed. We went to ask the staff about it and they told us we have to order again for the dipping sauce through the iPad and it took them another 30 - 40 mins to make the sauce by then we were already more than halfway finished with the hot pot. During the whole time our drinks (milk tea) were not served until we almost finished eating we also asked twice for it, for the cider it took a while as well. I understand that Saturday night was a busy night but that doesn’t mean you could ignore the customer service. Nobody looked at our pot and we had to ask to fill up the soup as well. The food was nice, but the...
