Canberra Lyneham Motor Inn — Hotel in District of Canberra Central

The rooms were budget but not unexpected for the price. My problem was the disgusting service from the rude receptionist. I had made a mistake with my booking and wanted to stay 3 nights but pay 1 night and then the next day pay the other 2 nights. After I stayed the first night the receptionist was so rude and wouldn't help me change my booking so that we cld pay it nightly instead of 3 nights upfront as my budget at the time didn't suite. She was so rude and made such a big deal, leaving me in tears and deciding to take my business elsewhere. The way she was smirking at me about how she couldn't help me- I wasn't asking for anything free I was simply asking to pay night by night... Never been a problem anywhere else but with her. The manager came in and I thought oh great I may get somewhere here but this rude man backed his staff member and made me feel extremely small. I left feeling extremely unsatisfieed and I will never use that motel again nor would I ever want to refer anyone to that business....

Liked · This hotel is in a fantastic location - walking distance to a supermarket and many cafes/restaurants. It is also only minutes from the CBD and most main attractions. The beds were comfy and the room was of decent size with the added bonus of air conditioning.||||Disliked · Unfortunately, this is in bad need of an upgrade. The bathroom was terrible, and not terribly clean. There were 3 of us staying with one bar of soap. Admittedly, upon check-in I was told I could go back and ask for more - but it should be there in the first place. There was no shampoo or conditioner, which is often standard even in budget hotels. Nor were there enough classes or mugs for the 3...
