Cucina Ristorante — Restaurant in District of Gungahlin

We ordered two pastas from this place (with new owners running the restaurant) on 19th May, 2023. We were told that both dishes will be available in 20 minutes and when I arrived there, they made me sit there for another 20-25 mins because they were running late. On the way out they did offer me a desert as free item for which I said no and I didn’t take it. Both the pastas were very poor in quality. It did not taste like a pasta but had too much of tomatoes/curry flavour to it which made it taste like a curry rather. Our experience with this place under new management was terrible. We also called them back that it has just ruin our dinner as we drove all the way back home with so much of anticipation of good Italian food. When we provided the feedback the restaurant manager upon checking with the new owners offered us the refund ($54.89) and apologised. They asked for bank details which we did send on their provided mobile number but unfortunately the refund was never honoured. Highly Recommended!

My family and I visited this beautiful restaurant last week, and we had an excellent experience. We started with some drinks, bruschetta, and fries as entrées, followed by creamy chicken fettuccine pasta, seafood pasta with a red tomato base, and a Cucina pizza. Every dish was absolutely fantastic!

The service was outstanding—two of the front staff members were particularly attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. They truly took care of us, making our dining experience even more enjoyable.

Another great perk is the ample free parking available, which made our visit hassle-free. Since this was my first time trying Italian food in Canberra, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

A big thank you to the Cucina team for creating such a memorable dining moment for us. We will definitely be back whenever we are in Canberra!

Just experienced a very disappointing meal, we ordered the mussels that arrived in a beautiful sauce with a mussel that had disintegrated into the tiniest morsel, I am assuming overcooked. We ordered this dish 3 months ago and loved every mouthful.

Our next dish was the gnocchi in bolognaise sauce, what a let down, this dish was served in a pool of oil. Our third dish was pizza and it was the best dish of the night, nothing special it seemed rushed.

The evening was soured by being surrounded by tables not being cleaned after dinners had left.

We used to love Cuccina and recommended this to our friends.

When paying there was no question on how we enjoyed our evening, just the $ amount due.
