Coffee Guru Casey — Restaurant in District of Gungahlin

Dropped $28.75 on a “Big Breaky” and got served what looked like leftovers from a school tuckshop brawl—two shrivelled, deep-fried chipolatas, half a raw tomato, bacon nuked in a microwave, and a soggy slice of bread trying to be toast.

I opened the box right in front of the bloke who cooked it, and fair dinkum—you could see in his eyes he knew he was robbing me blind. Didn’t even flinch. Mate looked like he’d just sold a wet sock for thirty bucks.

I left the sad excuse for food untouched on the outdoor table like a sacrificial offering, hoping they’d feel the sting of shame. But something tells me they’re professionals at this...

Usually great coffee etc, but today 🤦🏻‍♀️not so! Ordered 2 THICKSHAKES........thick shakes, and paid for thickshakes. Got to car, husband had caramel I had chocolate, couldn’t tell difference but definitely not thickshakes, so disappointed. Too far in hot sun to bother walking back, just won’t go back again.

And because we felt hungry and well earned treat, I ordered a caramel and a chocolate donut. While “thickshakes” being prepared, I overheard staff member saying only 3 donuts left and 3 in freezer...so they are frozen not fresh.

The coffee and service is consistently of a high standard. You can tell the staff care about their work.

Today when our coffees were brought to our table, the guy that brought them over made sure the mug handles were in the right positions (for us not to have to do it!) before he left the table. I don't think I've experienced that before! The staff also said goodbye to us as we were leaving. The coffee was excellent and it's the same quality every time I go there.

I haven't ordered from the food menu so can't comment on that.
