We’ve never been disappointed with Lokma until Monday 4 September when we ordered a pick up of 2 Pides for a birthday dinner. We often drive 30 min for Lokma’s Kebabs & it was our first time trying pides.
We ordered a bbq meatlovers & a shredded beef pide. We assumed that ‘shredded beef’ was the beef kebab meat which we were told they put on the meatlovers pides.
Boy were we wrong…. We thought we were eating a Spam Pide. Needless to say nobody could stomach a second piece and it went in the bin.
I rang Lokma straight away thinking they had given us the wrong one as it was totally disgusting. I was told by the young lady that they no longer use the beef kebab meat and it is like a sausage on the shredded beef pides and i got the right one. I responded that it was inedible, a waste of $28 and that maybe they should let customers know that they are not getting ‘shredded beef’ as advertised as we would not have ordered it had we known and all she could say was ‘oh’.
On principal after being customers for so many years, we’ll find a...

We splurged on the family banquet – bread, Borek, zucchini fritters, two dips, chargrilled chicken skewers, meatballs, rice, salad, pide, and baklava, all for $75.
The good news? The chicken and meatballs, zucchini and Borek were delectable, and the baklava provided a sweet ending. But hold onto your taste buds, because here come the lows:
The bread? Harder than solving a Rubik's cube blindfolded. The chilli dip? About as spicy as a marshmallow. And don't get me started on the hommus – it was as lackluster as a rainy day picnic.
The rice smelled like it had seen better days, the salad wilted faster than a bouquet in the desert, and the baklava was the size of a marble.
To add insult to injury, the staff couldn't get their numbers straight, first overcharging, then undercharging, and even messing up our pide order. Talk about a recipe for disappointment!
I'd trade this dining experience for a...
Read moreThere were a lot of workers given it was a Saturday night, but it was evident there was generation gaps which I 100% support but i could see the younger ones fluster not asking the manager for help and the manager trying to ask, an very calmly what happened so they could fix together and the older ones stay in their section an watch chaos. there needs to be more communication between the staff. Even though I called for my order, thought I’d be late to find my order was still getting made, which is fine sometimes it happens though what I wasn’t happy with was seeing my pide put on the bench until the rest of my food was cooked it sat there for 15 minutes minimum. Wondering why they didn’t just leave it on top of the over to keep it warm. By the time the food was ready and went home my pide was cold the spring rolls were soggy. all in all when paying a fare amount of money this was disappointing. 1 Star because I enjoy the rice and a...
