This Cafe — Restaurant in District of Gungahlin

What a wonderful staff and owner are, will go all the way to help their customers to have a pleasant breakfast in This Cafe 😀.

I ordered from the manu the grilled corn 🌽, the cashier say that we have no corn now, do you like have some spinach, I said Yes please, as the cashier finished speaking the owner asked if I like some mushrooms 😀 also, I Yes and thank him 😀.

Our first time at the Gundagai for our breakfast at the This Cafe, a warm and friendly atmosphere in this cafe 😀.

Drinks we had smoothly with mango 🥭 paradise, large Mocha 😋 and large Cappuccino.

Brekkie Wrap, Bacon 🥓, fried eggs 🍳, cheese 😋 Hashbrown, and your choice of bbq sauce in tortilla.

Special menu, Poached Egg 🥚 with mushrooms and spinach 😋 Smashed Avocado 🥑, fetta on Sourdough bread.

This is the menu. Get every breakfast 😋, grilled corn 🌽 avo, Poached Egg, grilled sweetcorn with Smashed Avocado, fetta, and diced bacon 🥓 on sourdough bread.

Waffle with the lot, Belgian style Waffle 🧇, strawberries 🍓 Maple bacon 🥓 and Belgian chocolate ice cream 🍦 😋.

A large coffee with oat milk cost $10, it was 3/4 full and average at best.

But tell me, in what world it is acceptable to charge $20 for a “waffle” this small?! (See images)

I tried to call before leaving a bad review but no-one answered the phone each time I tried…

This is unacceptable… literally a single strawberry with three sauces and a tiny waffle almost exactly the same size as the sauce cups.

Pro tip: Customers would rather have a larger waffle less sauce

BELGIAN WAFFLES ARE NOT DENSE, they are light and fluffy almost melt upon eating or when sauce is applied… this was like under-cooked cookie dough… extremely sugary as if someone botched a shortbread recipe… this tasted like a fattening attempt at an AMERICAN WAFFLE!

Don’t advertise your waffle with STRAWBERRIES (plural) when you just give your customers a SINGLE STRAWBERRY cut up…

If you want amazing coffee go to the soys, no one does it better, service is always spot on- a friendly smile and happy to help attitude is what you can expect from the front of house soys, the APS is always welcome, and the charming FOH will always be more than happy to assist with any concerns or issues you may have.. portion sizes are generous- which is not lost in this economy from a small business, all in all a great place to go.
