Oporto - Gungahlin — Restaurant in District of Gungahlin

Food quality is great, if only the customer service could be great too...

I visited a month ago or so and have been thinking whether I should post this review, I decided to post it as constructive feedback so the store could improve as a fellow ex-employee of Oporto.

I was waiting at the counter when the cashier came and so I normally moved forward (as you do) to tell my order, I started speaking then she got a phone call, picked up her phone and gave me a rude stare while abruptly putting up her hand as you would if you want someone to stop, I was taken aback by this as I normally visited this store 3-4 times a week to grab food for the way home.

After this happened she proceeded to take my order and kept sighing and grunting while rolling her eyes. when I payed I forgot to tell her that I wanted extra salt as well, so I kindly asked "please could I have extra salt as well? I forgot to tell you" again she rolled her eyes and shook her head angrily. Then when my food was ready I asked for a fork and knife as Im normally given both WHENEVER I have ordered before at this store. She said "Why do you want a fork and knife??" to which I responded "I always get a fork and knife with Chilli & Cheese Chips, so Im asking for it today too?? is that a problem??" she then grabbed the fork and knife and gave it to me and said "Heres your fork and knife" eye rolling gestures once again while shaking her head and placing hands on hips.

Honestly this was one of my favourite restaurants and I always love to eat from here until this happened and turned my mood off, this is not a personal attack once again I just want to provide constructive feedback to the company. I love Oporto and it is probably one of the top 3 restaurants I've been to (which is why i gave 3 stars). I would appreciate that this sort of thing does not happen again as it ruined the whole mood of the rest of my day. Best...

The covid 19 situation is breathtaking in Australia , here in this store zero hygiene factor is store manager. When I ask for alternation in my order to an order taking girl. The Store manager Aamir came from kitchen and rudely said we can’t do it and went. I felt so bad as I was a regular customer of that store. Being a store manger you should learn to treat customer and respect them. Secondly, few times I have even noticed that there is zero hygiene in him, he had a running nose and also his left eye was totally red, might be some infection in his eye. How can someone work in a food chain with an infection in eye in this covid situation. Also noticed they don’t even say thank you or sorry to customer as if they are been forced to work. We get food from Oporto every Friday. The problem with cheese chilly chips. Every time inspite of asking them to put the sauce enough to cover the chips but never they do. Few time I got the same chips from Phillip drive through and they really give value for money the chips are soaked in cheesy sauce. I have been trying not to put this review for months now and as there is Jo other Oporto in gungahlin so we are stuck with these people. This Friday it was extreme they gave chips without any sauce, my teenage son went to pickup the order and he didn’t check obviously. And the phone number obviously is not been working for months.
