Has great potential but falls well short of expectations. Has a wonderful new fresh design, look and overall appeal but despite newly opening only within the past few weeks. It appears to quickly fallen victim to a lack of sufficient human resources (or perhaps staff motivation) to keep the dining area clean. During my visit while it was experiencing a steady trickle of both eat-in and drive through business, it was not overly busy. However a number of tables were unusable due to the left food scraps, refuse and abandoned food trays strewn about. A number of tables had spilled food (mainly fries) scattered around on the floor making the eating area a particularly unappealing place to have a meal. While Maccas may be trying to encourage everyone to move into the digital age by providing no (obvious) service/ordering counter. And instead have numerous touch screens for customers to place their orders. Now I have a reasonable grasp of technology but the user friendliness of these is less than ideal, with a lack of standardised selections available as a default instead providing way too many customisable options instead. While it's nice to know that variables are available when ordering but a bit arduous when all you want is a few standard selections to get what you want. A solo customer (I would guesstimate to be in his late 50's) arrived as we received our meal, and he was still trying to place his order via the touch screen as we completed our meal and readied to leave. While it's hard to know whether customers with particular challenges (e.g. mature aged, limited command of the language, sight impaired, intellectual disability etc) would have similar difficulty, other OBVIOUS ordering options should be available. BTW the sunset view back toward the Brindies is to die for. Would recommend timing your visit with the sunset it's...
Read moreThis McDonald's is bar far the worst I have ever been to. They consistently forget items or not get the correct order.
One time I went to get food for me, my wife and my two sons. This order I asked for 2 nugget happy meals with fanta, a double quarter pounder meal with a coke and a larges hamburger meal. They gave the kids cheese burger meals with pickles (which the kids don't eat) both fantas had no flavouring, no napkins and no straws.
The double quarter pounder was stone cold and all the burgers had the wrong cheese on them. They gave me a cheese burger instead of a hamburger and all the chips were stone cold.
We were on the way somewhere and couldn't go back this day but left my name and was told the whole order would be replaced. When I went back a week later they tried to tell me I was only entitled to a single meal and had to fight with the manager and demand a refund to which they eventually replaced the meals.
This was back in April and today a similar order the fantas had no flavouring, no chips for the adult meals and again no napkins. My wife drove back and asked for our meals to be replaced as the rest would be cold by the time we ate it (just our meals as kids meals were fine except for drinks). My wife had to go to the waiting bay the first time and the bloke brought them out and said sorry for the wait and have a nice day. No mention that the chips were in another bag and we drove off without them which is what the manger said when she returned.
They cant accept fault and therefore will never improve their service. Do yourself a favour and drive 5 minutes down the road to Fyshwick or Braddon as Majura Maccas is beyond...
Read moreI have been visiting this McDonald location every Monday to Friday morning on the way to work for 3 to 4 years to purchase a large coffee. I know the staff and the staff recognise me - and every one has always been extremely polite and helpful. ...and then today.
I make a habit of banking free coffee stamps and have done for quite some time in case I have no change or wallet. I currently have 6 fully stamped cards remaining with a total of 24 coffees and as of this morning another free one to add to the list.
Over the past 6 weeks I have claimed 13 free coffees and paid for 12 or more. This morning after paying for a coffee I requested my card be stamped and the new girl decided to run off and grab the manager and accuse me of theft and fraud because I'd claim many free coffees and my cards were stamped 'too neat' - does this imply the staff lack the ability to be neat and tidy?
If customers can't redeem consecutive free coffee you should tell customers. Not accuse them of criminal acts and theft.
Customer for 4 years, every week day.
There are plenty of other coffee shops around. I suggest you use them, I know I'll be going else where for...
