I had high expectations for Barbeque Nation, after reading such positive reviews. Unfortunately, within the range of Indian restaurants in Canberra, Barbeque Nation sits in the middle - not the best, not the worst. We ordered a good variety of food on the night, and overall... it was average : the Samosas were good (especially the pastry); the Palak Paneer was very good (favour-wise, plus they didn't skimp on the cubes of cottage cheese like some other Indian places); sadly the Leg of Lamb was not 'melt in the mouth' as described on the menu (the pieces of lamb were still chewy and obviously hadn't be slow-cooked enough); also saddening was the butter chicken, which was just sickly-sweet (we ordered a 'mild' butter chicken on account of the children, so I think the kitchen counters any spice with tablespoons and tablespoons of sugar); and perhaps most saddening (and offensive) is that they charge $4 for a Plain Naan, but to smear on some butter for a Butter Naan they charge $6.50 - that's $2.50 EXTRA for a quick...

Food was absolutely fantastic! But when we went to pay, we noticed our bill was higher than expected. I asked for an itemised invoice and saw the prices charged were not reflective of the menu. I explained that we ordered based on the price in the menu (as everyone does), and then they manually changed the EFT reader to the price I was expecting. They said they are still waiting for new menus to be printed, however it made for an awkward situation and, frankly, they should not be increasing prices until the new menu is printed. If we didn't look at the invoice, I would have paid extra without knowing. Very disappointed and please be aware...

Inframe Chicken Xacuti - Goan Chicken delicacy, Chicken Tikka Masala.. dont go on just red colour among the gravies it was one of the best❤️ for entree we had dry Chicken tikka n my favourite Chicken Lollipop.
Funfact😎 The name “chicken 🍗 lollipop” is a nod to how the chicken wings look after trimming. To achieve the lollipop-like appearance, the meat on the chicken wing gets partially cut from the bone and pushed down, a technique known as “frenching".
