Urban Fresh Sushi Tuggeranong — Restaurant in District of Tuggeranong

Beautiful sashimi (salmon and tuna) and salmon and avo roll for me this order - so fresh and superior quality and a very interesting menu. The restaurant looks like it’s overdue for a deep clean which would entice me to dine in, particularly as the menu is authentic and the decor made me feel like I was in a Studio Ghibli movie - quite enchanting. If you’re in a hurry, order in advance - I was a bit impatient because I had a deadline to meet, but having food made fresh to order means a bit of a wait time. Or dine in - when there are diners it has a lovely atmosphere. Despite my impatience, the manager/owner (?) - Ren - was so friendly, gracious, at ease and even apologised for the wait (not that he had to). An interesting guy, easy to chat to and great service, Ren is just as authentic as the food and decor. Thanks to the chef as well. The serving was generous and beautifully presented with fresh lettuce, lemon and something I’m not sure I’ve seen - squiggly translucent...

I noticed the new signs near Homeworld for this sushi eatery which had just opened. I bought some that evening for my daughters. They prefer Chicken Katsu and Teriyaki Chicken and beef. Having ordered, I realised that the sushi is in deed fresh - it is made to order each time. While this did ensure the quality to be superb, it also requires more time. I hope they can cope with the lunch rush where competitors can churn out premade food. The sushi was exceptional, and the price is very competitive. I'll go back for sure, and I'm curious to try their Japanese soups and...

We thought we’d enjoy some nice Japanese for dinner and was welcomed by the high reviews. We took the other one star review for granted and boy.. we should have listened.

Pricey dinner… bad food.

I got the takoyaki and the katsu curry.

The takoyaki looked good but tasted bland and there was a large chunk of something in the middle, it was DEFINITELY NOT FRESH.

The katsu was a tiny thin piece of chicken and was not fresh or juicy, it tasted like old oil.

The rice was long grain and was honestly the best part of the dish.

Won’t be returning, please...
