Mookie Burger — Restaurant in District of Tuggeranong

The food at Mookie Burger has always been good, but the outstanding service I recently received there is the reason for this 5-star review.

Last month I ordered takeaway through their website, but when I arrived at the store for pick-up I was told it was too close to closing time and they hadn't made my order. However, to make it up to me, the manager (after refunding my order) gave me an additional store credit. When I redeemed the credit a few weeks later, the manager took my order himself and made sure the service I received was outstanding.

While the initial online ordering stuff-up was annoying at the time, the manager went above and beyond to make it up to me. With management like that, you can feel pretty confident the store is being run well and the food will be good. I live around the corner so i was happy to see mookie burger opening here. Their burgers are yum today i ordered 2 mookie burger and potato gems. Then I found out they have Monday deal. 2 delux mookie burgers and chips for $30. I asked the girl who served me if i can change the order. She said she would call the manager to ask about it. She actually called (I guess) but she said as the manager is not physically here she cant change the order and the order got through already. it is my fault I know. A noisy but visually neat/spartan restaurant. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food is good although the buns (bread bun and the rice nori bun) were soggy. This impacted the overall experience. I also noticed that there was an imbalance of supporting fillings where some over powered the main flavour profiles. If this was a cheap takeaway, it would be forgiven. However the restaurant is catering for a slightly more upscale diner. Price-wise I would have accepted paying an average of $18 for a burger (w/o sides) however given the aforementioned inadequacies from this particular dine in, I am personally unlikely to choose this place again.
