KFC Woden — Restaurant in District of Woden Valley

On Saturday night, I felt like I had walked into a teenage gang's clubhouse. The employee's were most sitting at the tables, scowling as they played on their mobile phones and looked as enthused to be working there as a prisoner in the Russian Gulag. I noticed the shop was also extremely dirty. After placing my order, I went to the toilet (big mistake) and it was so dirty in there I came out immediately...nuff said about that. Then a bored and slightly angry millennial called out my name to get my order, to which he didn't even look up to acknowledge any customer there and simply threw my bag with my order callously onto the counter and returned to the kitchen.... probably to check his phone like all the others. I felt sadness and disappointment as I remembered the once brilliant KFC at Woden Plaza and how excellent the customer service used to be (as well as how very clean the store always was). What a sad decline of KFC .... in standards (customer service) and presentation (the store was filthy). " But how was the food ?!" you ask. Greasy and not worth the amount it cost. So if you are looking for some delicious take away food served by happy staff in a clean and sanitary store, avoid this one at all costs. I just wish the owner could have seen and experienced what I did.... though on second thought they probably care as much as their bored looking staff...which is...

270September 2024 I couldn't find a link to add a review for some reason so I'm adding it to my last one. Tonight 27 September 2024. We ordered the giant feast. Chicken mash spuds gravy three large chips. Not a chip in sight. I rang Woden KFC they said to contact door dash. We ordered not through door dash but through KFC online menu. We ring door dash and of course they say we will send a half the refund in a few days or weeks. Great but that wrecks our family dinner get together. Door dash response was like they expected it. KFC person on the phone couldn't take responsibility. Door dash just wanted to pay us off. We just wanted dinner. WHO IS RESPONSIBLE. DID THE DRIVER TAKE THE FOOD. DID THE STAFF FORGET TO ADD THE CHIPS. KF#% -C SOMEONE MUST BE IN CHARGE OF QUALITY CONTROL OR CHECKING THE BAGS. We gave you another chance and ya stuffed us up again. No stars for no chips and a wrecked feast night.

This location of KFC has a large amount of flaws. Not only is the service slow and inaccurate, but the staff are rude and uncooperative. Despite waiting over 30 minutes their service was still subpar. Not only did they only upgrade drink sizes, but they also failed to make a Zinger Crunch Burger, instead making a burger wrapped in the Zinger Crunch label. Another note is the efficiency of this place. I am aware that while at the start of the 30 minutes there was a technical issue, but even after that the manager failed to deliver any food for over 20 minutes. Several people had their names called, completely ignoring ours. The manager, as a matter of fact, did not send the order to cook the food to the kitchen until we confronted the manager, when he almost immediately told the staff to prepare the food. Several times, a young member of the staff asked us for details and information, yet did not achieve anything meaningful. The manager said that it would not be possible to make food at the time despite other customers receiving food, which leads me to believe that the manager was not speaking truthfully. I advise everyone to stay clear of KFC Woden as the service is terrible and so is the food. Save yourself the misery and just eat...
