We previously found Little Mez after meeting Mexican Friends who told us all about the beauty of Mezcal. Of all the places you would expect, we found the best Mezcal bar that I have found in all my travels around the world. The vibe is vibrant and chilled, the range is unbelievable and so in depth but I want to save the most praise for Stu, the venue manager who was so knowledgeable and interested in all things mezcal and tequila, we ended up spending three nights straight there immersing ourselves in it all. To see our Mexican friends turn into little children with excitement over it all was just special. I cannot rate enough the labour of love Stu and the team have made in this bar and I would be so excited as to say I would come back to Queenstown just to enjoy this experience again.
TD;LR - Get you backside down to Little Mez when you hit Queenstown, even if you're not such a fan of tequila or mezcal, there is something for everyone here and you walk out very happy (and a little bit tipsy)! Thank you for such an...
Read moreMy husband Ian and I visited the Little Mez food truck for lunch today. ‘Mez’ being Mediterranean street food with a Middle Eastern or North African twist. Ian ordered the Moroccan inspired chicken, and I ordered the Lamb Kofta/Souvlaki with both meals served in homemade Greek pita bread. Our lunch was the best we have ever had as they were cooked to order, mouthwatering with tender and juicy meats, fresh vegetables all assembled in a deliciously fluffy wrap. Whilst seated at the Mosaic covered cafe style tables overlooking Hindmarsh drive, you could almost block out the road noise and imagine you are somewhere in Southern Europe as you stare into the Mediterranean blue sky. Kudos to John and family the charismatic founders of Little Mez. Cheers and...
Read moreI never realised how much I liked Mediterranean food until Little Mez. My partner and I started going here for coffees in the morning on the way to work, we kept coming back because the coffee was so good. After awhile we tried some of the food, and that turned out to be really good too! I have coeliac disease and they can do gluten free stuff, which is awesome. The peeps that run little Mez are also really lovely. I believe it’s family owned and operated. Highly...
