Unfortunately after many years of ordering on our regular January holiday, we were left disappointed, shocked and hungry. The delivery order was made with friendly service and advised 40mins-1hr delivery time. After 1hr 15mins waiting I contacted the store and was told another 10mins. Another 15mins passed and I called again advised driver left a while ago.. I explained my father in law has diabetes and after medication needs to eat. I asked if i could be compensated for the delay. The store advised the driver (also the Manager) had been in an incident and to discuss this with her. At this point the driver finally arrived. I explained to the Manager the delay and my father in laws situation and with no concern redirecte to her incident. I explained again and suggested to pay less when she rufely snatched the food back and drive off in a hurry I called the store to explain this and was waiting to speak to the Assistant Manager when the call ended. I was left physically shocked and no dinner for a family of 6 after 8pm. I was happy to pay for the majority of the meal, but had some thoughts. If the driver had an incident should they not contact the customer advising of the significant delay and how long was the food in the driver's car?
I response to your reply to my review, It may have been a misunderstanding, but your driver hadn't apologised for the 1hr 30min delay and her manner changed when I tried suggesting a reduction in the cost of the meal and not receive it for free. I also believe your attacking my personality and morales. I felt I was not aggressive and this was witnessed by some of my family members. I contacted the store but again not aggressively just trying to explain the situation and never spoke to the assistant manager as the gentleman asked me to wait on the line and then it was cut off. They didn’t call us to tell us this prior, so we were told to choose something else and wait a further 20 minutes. We couldn’t wait with the kids in the car, so we opted for delivery. Staff said it was $5 delivery (we were only 3 streets away, but had young kids so couldn’t head back out). We left, they called to confirm the address. Again, we were told $5 delivery. The food arrived and the delivery person said it was $10. Then said we should never have been told anything else. The fried rice had no peas, vegetables, prawns, nothing.
