Paradise Marina — Restaurant in Forster

Our first visit (and last) to this cafe was absolutely the worst cafe experience of my entire life. My husband and I were verbally abused by a staff member and we were in shock and should have walked out straight away. Our crime was that we did not see the sign that says ‘Wait to be seated’ and walked in and sat down at a table for two - and there were many other vacant tables. The staff member came over and we were loudly (and for quite some time) lectured in the cafe rule that we had not adhered to. He was absolutely the rudest most Ill-mannered, unpleasant individual ever- and is definitely in the wrong profession! We sat there dumbfounded - and after about 5 minutes later he came past and said he would ‘allow’ us to order now. We were dying for a coffee so I got up to order at the counter inside and he walked up to me and said ‘Don’t tell me you are a local’ No, I’m not but I’ve had many holidays in Forster and my grandparents lived here for many years- ‘Oh everyone has an excuse’ was his response. I recently visited Paradise Marina Cafe in Forster on holidays. Hoping for a pleasant experience given its prime location near the water, where families often gather to enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Unfortunately, I was left quite disappointed.

Firstly, the café doesn’t offer takeaway options, which seems like a missed opportunity given the number of people who enjoy sitting on the grass or near the water. It would be much more convenient for families and others looking to enjoy their food outdoors.

Secondly, the café’s refusal to allow menu variations is incredibly frustrating, especially for families like mine who have children with special dietary needs. A little flexibility would go a long way in making the experience more inclusive and accommodating.

Paradise Marina what a place. Stunning Views & Delicious Lunch, I had the pleasure of visiting this gem of a restaurant for lunch today, and it exceeded my expectations in every way. The first thing that caught my attention was the view absolutely breathtaking. Whether you're seated indoors or out on the terrace, you get a panoramic scene of the lake that's worth the visit alone. The atmosphere was calm and inviting, making it a perfect spot to unwind and enjoy a relaxed meal.
