Quiet Life is my go-to and favourite CafĆ© in all of Geraldton (And Iāve lived in Geraldton nearly my whole life). I come to this cafĆ© nearly every week with my partner and dog, staff are extremely welcoming and kind whenever we go and its such a beautiful atmosphere.
Great amount of seating options wether you're just having a quick coffee with a friend inside or having a massive group hangout outside.
The food and coffee are absolutely amazing! As someone who has tried a variety of foreign food Quiet Life nails the flavour of all their delicious foods on the menu. My go-to is always the āCrispy Fried Chickenā which is a Korean fried chicken inspired dish, the chicken is always crispy AND juicy as well as their kimchi being on the top 5 best kimchi Iāve ever had (though it is a bit spicy!). Itās rare to get Korean food in Geraldton but this soothes my cravings. Every time I go there I swear my piece of chicken just gets bigger and bigger!!!
You can tell they have a lot of asian influence on their menu from Vietnamese, Indian, Japanese and Korean. They work with what they got and in all honesty theyāre doing an amazing job.
Honourable mentions will be their scrambled eggs, pulled pork benny (you get a massive amount of pork!) and their dorayaki pancakes (which are full with yummy seasonal fruit on the side).
Their coffee is something that is a definite local favourite, always so consistent and honestly some of the best coffee ever. They donāt have any whipped cream but their iced mocha is still delicious and pairs well...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreQuiet life coffee is a surprising find on our last day in Gero.
I had sweet and sour pork belly in the morning. It was excellent, the sauce, rice (yeah, definitely a plus for well cooked rice), the apple slaw gave it a great balance and meat was so tender. Just from my opinion, I reckon might be better to use the part that has less fat than pork belly as it seems to make the meal finish a bit heavily. But donāt get me wrong, overall the meal is outstanding!
Even came back later for another coffee and ordered a cake just based on the trust of the morning experience and itās probably the most tastiest one Iāve ever had in my three years time traveling around Australia. No fancy but pure nice taste.
Service and wait time is quick. Nice set up and friendly staff.
Definitely want to come back if coming...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe went for breakfast here on our way to Perth coming from route 1. Coffee and food were nice, despite the size of the breakfast, which could be a bit more generous for the price. Also the coffee arrived too early and almos 40 minutes before the meals. But there was a waitress here (blonde with short hair) that treated us differently just for being foreigners, it was too evident the way she treated people next to us (australian), and with us she took the plates and coffee cups even without asking if we were done and also responded us in a rude way when we asked for our breakfast after waiting for a long time. We're people like everyone else and paid the same, so please treat your client with more...
