If you’re looking to ruin your day, destroy your appetite, and question your life choices — this is the perfect restaurant for you.
I ordered Kung Pao Chicken, Black Bean Beef, and Garlic Squid, and every single dish felt like a personal attack on my taste buds.
The Kung Pao Chicken was offensively sweet, like someone dumped cough syrup all over dry, rubbery chicken. Zero spice, zero flavor, zero dignity. The Black Bean Beef should be renamed “Black Bean Fat Soup” — barely any beef, mostly chewy, fatty scraps swimming in a bitter, salty mess. The Garlic Squid? I wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy. Read moreCome over to the West for Christmas holiday, went out for tea with my mum and the family, quick to seat, slow to take orders.. wait staff that took out meals were asked to bring all meals and entrees out together, not only did the entrees come out in drive and drabs but 2 meals were completely missed from the docket ( even though one meal was meant to the 2 of). sweet and soup pork was more batter than anything and not enjoyable. Main meals come out in dribs and drabs as well with my husband being able to all but finish his meal before the next main meal was brought out. While the 2 young wait staff put in a great effort they were poorly guided as to where meals were meant to be and were extremely apologetic for the meals that didn’t even make the docket. Needless to say if we ever made it back to the West we wouldn’t be returning, not only was there no apology from the kitchen with hold up on meals but everything was well below average. If there is a next time I do believe we will wait for the Jade House to open or better yet for the price of everything hit up red...
