It’s a 4 star hotel. The service is 7 ⭐️ The service is absolutely some of the best we have ever received outside the Crown Group. Most hotel groups you are a nobody. We booked The Gerald for an impromptu NYE event. From reception who outside Claridges London I have NEVER had service in WA/Australia like this. We arrived and were introduced like royalty. From then in nothing was too hard. Our phone didn’t work in the room. Who cares the service was so personable. Wow. Forgot our daughters rollaway and the same receptionist brought it up herself. The minibar is made to be raided. They advocate it. Marty is amazing at the bar Hayley is brilliant Wendy on reception is a keeper. She gives 20/10. Nothing is too hard. You feel like royalty from the moment you arrive. I love this place what a find!

Room was a decent size(classic studio king) The complementary kitkat was nice touch The bathroom was spotless but water pressure in shower not great Sign in room said complimentary minibar(if booked direct) but our booking confirmation (through travel agent) also said included but mostly drinks etc that we dont drink(eg local beers and diet coke for eg) The noise from the rooftop bar was obvious near lift but we couldnt hear anything from our room(503) which was good. The Old Man and the Sea rooftop bar was lively and great for a couple of drinks watching the sunset. Location cant be beat (5 minutes from beach and plenty of restaurants, cafes, shops etc) and we had free ev charging on their Tesla destination charger which was the main reason we booked there

Clean, spacious, comfortable room in a perfect location with a beautiful view! Definitely value for money. Was upgraded to the suites upon checking in and they provided the mini bar FOC if you book direct with them. I appreciate having washer, dryer, a kitchenette with full tableware and even salt and pepper shakers, along with Smeg kettle and toaster. We had a nice balcony overlooking the park/sea right outside, it was beautiful during dawn and dusk. Chemist warehouse is just 1 min walk away, KFC and Mcdonalds are about 7 minutes walk away or a couple by driving. I'd highly recommend this apartment because this place is faultless!

We chose this hotel after seeing the good reviews and this was a big disappointment to us. We had booked the hotel through American Express but when we arrived the staff said that our booking was not in the system at all. We thought this was an oversight on the part of American Express and although we have booked many hotels worldwide through it over the years, this has never happened. The hotel staff told us that there was only one last room for 4 people left, so we had to pay AUD330 again for a room that was completely unnecessary for the two of us. Overall, the room seemed comfortable and clean. However, my wife found an unidentified stain on the toilet seat, probably dried blood, which could have been wiped away and was clearly the result of poor cleaning. So we had to ask for the toilet to be cleaned again. When we blamed American Express the next day, we realised that the problem was still with the hotel. When American Express negotiated with the hotel, the hotel manager discovered that our previous order was available in the hotel system, which meant that it was not that American Express had not confirmed the order with the hotel. Rather, the staff did not find the order at the time, and interestingly enough, on the morning we checked out, we complained to another staff member about this and she also did not find the order. So far, the hotel manager has refused to acknowledge that it was their fault and refused to refund. And American Express is still helping us to coordinate the matter. Still the same trustworthy American Express. Also, the hotel parking is on the first floor and there is an area that says only guests staying at the hotel are allowed to park, when in fact anyone parks there. There is no access control or management at all and I had to find a corner that night that was not even a parking space and managed to...

Spent the weekend there whilst husband was at a conference downstairs. I got stuck in the teeny tiny unairconditioned lift for about 7-10 minutes by myself. The lift had already been out of order earlier that morning, but we were assured that it had been repaired. When ringing the bell provided for help it cut out 2 times before being answered (it says it will cut out after 3 minutes). When I finally spoke to the Operator she had no idea where I was - I had to give her the full details of the location including Geraldton WA, she could of been overseas for all I knew... When I got to giving her my mobile number it cut out again (I guess we went over the 3 minutes allocated time again). This was very distressing as I did wonder how long it would take to get back through to a Operator again.

I was stuck on the 5th floor after descending from the 7th floor. Eventually a staff member was able to open/access the door and let me out. The staff at Reception indicated that they were not allowed to open the lift door (key) as it would void their insurance!!!

Later that evening my husband and I went down to the ground floor bar to use the complimentary drinks voucher. When we ordered 2 drinks the waiter informed us that the voucher only covered 1 complimentary drink per room (even though we both were staying there). I informed the waiter that I was the one that had been stuck in the lift earlier today (he laughed) and think a complimentary drink is the least he could do. He obliged.

I took the stairs for the remainder of...

I think they have done a marvelous job on the design and layout of rooms. However in the hot weather the foyer is unbearable along with elevator and hallways. The rooms though are lovely and cool my mother said she had the best sleep in ages. The roof top bar was full of Christmas cheer and the sea breeze was very cooling.downstairs at Bob's was also busy however as it is an older crowd I think the music was too loud and I know it's for the atmosphere but it is way too dimly lit. You cannot read the menus with out a magnifying glass and the food cannot be appreciated as the lighting makes it not look good that's if you can see it. The food was ok pricey. The staff were fantastic however the drinks waitress needs training as she didn't even know what a larger was. She couldn't answer any questions she just told us to look in fridge. It has an amazing selection of find. An ok wine list but once again the waitress had no knowledge and could not upsell . When things were not available she couldn't suggest any alternatives. This was made more frustrating because we could not answer them ourselves as menu was hard to read as stated above. However with a few adjustments I think this hotel is heading in the right direction. Just a little training clip lights on menus and bigger writing and up the...
