Kaffeine bar — Restaurant in Gisborne

Was really looking forward to eating at Kaffiene Bar in Gisborne but was really disappointed. DO NOT order the avo breakfast. The avo mash comes straight out of the fridge/freezer and is not warmed up at all. You end up with what was most likely a hot piece of toast that is topped with very cold avo mash that is topped with a poached egg which very quickly cools down. Within a minute of it landing on the table I quickly asked the young staff member before she moved on if the avo was just taken out of the fridge. She replied yes. I told her it makes the whole meal very cold and all she did was shrug her shoulders and walk off. Also do not eat quickly as you will be moved on and out of Kaffiene bar very quickly. As soon as I put my cutlery down on the empty plate (was traveling through Gisborne and had already paid for the meal and wasn't getting any thing done about my very cold meal so I ate it), I was asked if I would like something else. I had just finished my coffee, (which was good but not great), when I was politely asked if I, "wouldn't mind moving and giving the table to new guests". I moved on. I did not feel welcome there at all. As I started to move, the male thanked me. Really?? I guess he should, he got my money and quickly moved on to other guests. Quality and service leaves a lot to be desired. Won't go back again and can not recommend this...

My husband and I been coming to Gisborne market every month, and we love our breakfast before going to the market. After our last experience dining at the Pepper Pigs cafes was very disappointing. We spoke to the manager about our food lately not good bacon was serve just fat no taste at all and just 2 small fat bacon was given. We swore after our last experience we change another cafes. We are very happy that we did We thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast. Bacon was great and mine samon as well. Thankyou Kaffeine bar for this morning breakfast. Definitely we will be back next month and again. Definitely highly recommended value for money and experience worth coming back 👌 Although the picture dosent have much left but it was great. I was in on Tuesday at 2:15. Wasn't sure of closing time so asked if they were still serving food. Despite being told yes, the eye roll, big sigh and generally annoyed look said otherwise. I almost left but I was hungry. I ordered and sat down. If I wasn't already feeling unwelcome having someone sweep around my feet certainly did the trick. When they started mopping I had to check the closing time, thinking I must have come in just before closing. No, you close at 4. So, after a total of 15 minutes I left, which I assumed is what your staff wanted. Thing is, Gisborne has A LOT of cafes. Perhaps you should school your staff on why it's called hospitality and tell them...
